Video #3.... (good note taking lesson IMO)  0
...Will contain both a ludicrous beat with pocket Aces, and an in the money finish...

Two parts to it, so will take a while to upload, so I'll do it tomorrow.

For anyone that thinks taking notes isn't worthwhile, I really suggest you watch this video closely. Notice how the notes rarely lead me wrong... and that they only include simple, useful information.

Note taking.... good note taking.... is vitally important in MTTs. If you don't already do it - start now Thumbs Up

I agree with you,I think it is something every player should do and especially in the smaller stakes tournaments where there are lots of ways in how players will play at specific parts of the tournament.
You get some players who from the very start will play crazy trying to double up quickly and are likely to go all in first hand with a pair of 5s or AJ etc and some players who will just shove 100bb with AA or KK only but do not want to play down the streets.
The more notes the better I think especially if you see the same people quite a lot.

I seem to have missed video 1 and 2????

There is an optimum I feel. You should only add information that is not available through your HUD statistics. There is no point in noting someone is loose, if their VP$IP is 80%...

I used to take lots of notes, but it has declined a lot lately, as I did not get much from them. A video about the subject, might just inspire me to do more.

Also it's important to observe the player in action, as the notes might have become stale, or were taken when he was tilting etc...

One thing is to note players that pop up at your table, play hyper aggressive, just buying every large pot, and then disappearing again. A note enables you call/3-bet them light, with great +EV.

Hey marquis,I know what you mean,I should have wrote the more people you have notes on the better.I note if I see mistakes like raise differences with good hands or if they never steal blinds etc. If at the start of a tournament my table pops up and I have a couple of notes on most of the players it makes it worth it for me.
I agree with some notes not being current or just wrong, last night I played the BRM game and only played 2 or 3 hands but I had a teething screaming baby in my arms for 2 hours so sometimes things are not always as they appear......usually I like to play at least 6 hands in a tournament. I think those notes can backfire often too so i dont note anyone, just pay attention the table u play on and u will "feel" who bluffs alot and who not, take notes of me when i play and u will play against a different guy 100% next time, sometimes im nervous have no time and go donk other times i smoke a few and play safe, there is no way of you knowing how i will play at the next turney and i bet alot of people are like that.

Ah man.... totally forgot about this - I guess the video is still sitting somewhere on my laptop - I'll try and upload later, and if I can't find it - I'll do another "note based" video.

I like to keep my notes brief... typical notes will be:

Only raises premium, 3-bets light, will call with any 2 suited, will call with any 2 connectors, will call large bets on gutshots, will call all in on flush draws, will call all in with TP, folds often to 3-bets, never folds to 3-bets etc etc etc...

Once one player has has at least 3 "negative" notes, eg call any 2 suited, call all in on flush draws & will call all in with TP, I change their colour to red and target them - being sure only to get all in vs them with 2 pair or better, or with very strong draws.

If nothing else, it's good to type your thoughts on players, as it makes you think more....

Did you raise your bet and then change you mind and checked? was that by accident?
Regarding your video four freerolls, you seem to play well i dont know how to put it. But you fold K 10 but call 2-3 suited and fold 5-6 suited. Why did you play like this for? The positions with the suited card we about the same. Just wondering
I don't know if this is correct but it would be how i would play you have KQ flop 4 K 5 and you went to bet but checked. the turn J and you then bet 300 ( without knowing he has hit 2 pair) personally with top pair K's and a Q kicker i would have had a nice bet there, With a raise pre flop and then a K being out there it would of been a great chance the guy with that hit the 4 would of most likely folded. Just my opinion ay Thumbs Up

Can't remember the hands specifically, as it was around 2 months ago... But I would guess the reason I call with a hand, then fold a similar hand in the "same" position would be because of the stack sizes in behind me... I like to limp low suited connectors vs big stacks, so I can get the most when I hit a monster, but won't limp when someone has 5 BBs or less, as they are likely to shove...

The KQ with flopped pair of kings, I would guess I was the caller... and considered betting into the raiser, but decided against it.
