Yeah some nice quotes there my favorite quote is to live to fight another day rather than die , more of an approach to poker, that is why i have those stop loss now and stop as soon as it is reach and live to fight another day and hope that tomorrow is better. Cheers so good luck mate at the tables you will need it as there are some lucky fishes out ether that you just cannot seem to be able to squash and they keep coming back to take your money lol . Heskor - While, "Live to fight another day" is a good quote, and often an important one in poker... the quote here is the exact opposite of that.
Basically, the point is - if war is inevitable at some point - strike early. Waiting will only give your opponents the advantage.
In poker, war IS always inevitable - sure, there's always a chance someone else will take care of your rivals for you, but if you have the opportunity to do so yourself, then you should take that chance. Strike from a position of power, rather than from weakness or desperation. Strike on your terms, not on theirs.
This lesson is important when approaching the money positions in a MTT - if you have the hand, don't fear the bubble - make other people fear YOU instead.
