Posted by qzmag: Magatt you can't play on PokerMinds?
.. blablabla-boredomboredomboredom..... last friday I was considering to start playing there ... blablabla-boredomboredomboredom..... should I? .... blablabla-boredomboredomboredom....
... blablabla-boredomboredomboredom.... It worth a shot .
I decided to fire that shot and created an account at pokerminds: magatt966 at the tables as well.
I'm starting from freerolls and, for the first time in my poker life, I'm tempted to disregard any bankroll management rule. This is due to freeroll winnings withdrawal policy: didn't read them but heard you have to earn a lot of pokerpoints for each buck won at freerolls to be withdrawable.
Played two freerolls and cashed both:
- 2nd place in BRM freeroll for €4,75 (btw congrats to the winner mobster666)
- 10th place in €10 daily freeroll for €0.80 (only played first 30 minutes: built a huge stack and then had to go. Only discovered later I cashed lol)
BR € 5.55
Siitting at 2 NL2 ringgame tables: lets see how my first day will end
For the first time want to make it public and I'm intentioned to ask you suggestions and tips about decisions to be taken from time to time.
First decision to be taken: should I follow a wise bankoll management or should I disregard it? Vote please

I think you should use atleast a bit of BR management man , i mean dont go sit at a 5/10 table when u only got 1BI or something you know but furthermore i would like to wish you the best of luck at the tables and may the cards be with you

Hello, Good luck magatt , see you at the tables. If the tourneys would not cancel almost every time, and ppls play them, you can get lots of points. I played last night a 4.40 euro, well i spent another 3 rebuys, and got 2nd place like an idiot what i am, for only 20 euros, 1st place 34, and i had my stack 3 times bigger. I'm at 37 euros, droped from 48, and made 120 Pokerpoints, don't know how much i got from freerolls rly, but i got 7.80 euros from one and many other from 0.25 to 5 euros i think. Yeah the ammount of pokerpoints you need to generate is insanely big, on ballbaker, you need to play 5 times the cash from freerolls. ( probably that's why they got busted out ).

You should definitely stick with some bankroll management stuffs if you are to survive in poker and betting in general as you never know when variance will hit and you can lose a lot of rolls like that if you dont have discipline. Also if you play hgh buyins with a low bankroll you can go bust and then will be out of action, and you never know you could have won the next one if you had money to buy in. Anyway good luck mate have fun at the tables and good luck with Bankroll management it is hard to follow but worth it!

Yeah but if you can win money from the freerolls so easily then you can get your money back very soon so it can be worth the risk!

Well if you keep winning money in freerolls and at the same time you are grinding for the points needed, then sttick to the bankroll management. At some point you will clear a portion of it i believe Had to go with first answer Good luck on grinding

nice to hear, good job bud keep it up. What's your nick at the tables? Do you mean if I win € 5 from freerolls I have to earn 50 or 500 pokerpoints to cash them out?
Daily update: Yesterday first run on rollercoster at cash tables: I full bought in at two NL2 tables (€2 each) busted in one and doubled on the other one more or less.
Freeroll winnings: €5.55 Current bankroll: €5.67 PokerPoints: 2.40
I don't think you can do much bankroll management with €5.67, so just play your normal game, and hope you start with an upswing, until you have enough to do proper bankroll management, I'd say...
I am pretty sure for every 1 in free roll winnings you have too earn 10 points i made a cash out last night Grinded out 13 in free roll winnings into 20 while earning 138 points 1 euro= 1.43 Canadian Dollar GL

Well your right on this. What I mean is: should I sit with all the bankroll at the same cash table or split it in 6 NL2 cash tables minbuying in eveyone of them?
Anyway other two ITM in freeroll for € 0.90 and € 0.92
Freeroll winnings: € 7.37 Current bankroll: € 7.49 PokerPoints: 2.40
Cashgame rollercoaster time now .....good luck to me

LoL , insane hands. I got myself into a insane hand with other 2 ppls. I had JJ , another one 99 and 3rd had KK, Flop 9 10 10 J K. Is good that you can manage to stay on the rpfot, not going down. Today i played again into a tourney, 3.30 euro, got 2nd place again, after i was the chip leader again. I play so bad on heads-up here. The bankroll is good enough to build a larger one from ring games. I saw you today when you lost against 33 with 8 9, yeah the flop was good, but ... That hand i had JQo.
Lost that $7 trying too grind out 70 points managed 27 points still got a bankroll of $20 cash out was no good too skrill waiting for an email back from them upload of documents probably for cash out does any mobster know if you must deposit first before cashing out GL Magatt
