ok im very sick to my stomach atm.. you probably heard about the phenomenon too..its called the "long run"... just busted out in 2 50$ tourneys ...JJ vs TT preflop and AA vs JT on KQx flop.. im now about 50 buyins with no real cash in (my itm rate is usually something like 16-17% over ..i dunno..2k tourneys or so).. so whenever i ask about those hands i get "you played it right, in the long run you will win".... does anyone know when that "long run" starts? its more of a marathon is it??... does anyone know when the long run starts?i

The long run is reached if the number of hands for a cashgameplayer or tourneys for a tourneyplayer is so high, that statitical methods can be used. 10.000 to 100.000 results are needed. So you have to play a bit. It is no marathon, it is more a run around the world. Good luck.

Sometimes it's good to analyze the situation where you lost but would do the same again cause you think the move was +EV "in the long run" sometimes it's not +EV(or only marginal +) even though you thought it was, atleast that's what I experienced when I started to calculate my EV in dif situations "In the long run" would in my eyes start around 500K hands.
