I hate it when that happens, I'm always happy to see the best hand to win Thumbs Up I always feel a bit sorry for a good player going all in with AA preflop and looses against a 56, but then again that's poker although I don't think you would see this that often in a casino tournament.

there is no explanation to it, its poker.....learn to deal the bad beats and ride the waves when its going with you.

only reason it happens more "online" is because there are more hands an hour played, and people play more loosely online (generally) than live games....

how i now think is if im given a bad beat i think ok well i got my money in +EV and longrun i am profitable, so thankyou for playing badly as i will eventually get my money back + some. its cost me over $5000 to reailse this and put me on a lot of monkey tilt.

The Maniac with K3 may be a winner in the situation but in the end of the year he's the big loser.

I think like iHasReads when im being sucked out.....As long as I get my money in good im happy. It's the only thing that matters in poker(did you do the right thing) doesn't matter if you win or lose as long as you know it was a winning move(+EV) you made since you will be paid off eventually.

m3turbo i think as much as we try, getting the majority of fish on this forum to understand what +EV actually means will make their heads asplode, maybe we shud stop helping them and just take their chips Tongue

cus i <33333 a fish that spews chips in my general direction lol

I hope that you have put this guy on your buddy list. Big Smile

Pushing complete junk like K3 is like throwing money out of the window. He may get lucky from time to time (like in the described hand) But at the end of the day he will be broke.

Man I love it, if other players hate their money. Smile

lol finding a table with 5 ppl like this is gold , yeh u might lose 1 buy in, but if u stick around you will bust ALL of them and walk away with a serious bankroll boost! probably be up a good $500-$600 if not more.

i found a table like that once, on a 1/2 , i ended up with $2019 on a 1/2 table, so sick!

ihasreads you might want to rethink this view that everyone on here is donkeys. You wanna talk about +EV because I do it all the time. I make the right call/raise and I get punished severely for it. In fact in the last 2 months I have had my money in ahead many, many times and while I know that I should theoretically be winning somewhere along the lines I am not. I continue to be sucked out on while holding the superior cards by morons like the fish you love to see.

So don't think by coming on here and typing the same line I have seen typed 1,000 times 'YOU WIN IN THE LONG RUN' you're helping anyone.

BTW If you're such a winning player why are you on BRM looking for free bankrolls? Someone who has won so much money using this +EV strategy should have no need for BRM.

To be fair: sometimes its moves within moves you can see there. Yesterday i had a player to my left who just hated me, because i had frequently reraised him, or stolen his blinds. So i knew hed raise my next steal attempt( me attacking from the button ) with any two cards.

I raised with 10 3s to 3,5 $, he raised to 11$, i rereraised to 28$ ( our stacks were quite deep ), he called. Flop: QJJ, he checks, I bet 18 , fold within a second, tells me afterwards: youre sooo lucky. But Im sure he would even have pushed with Pocket 10s or Ak.

The point is: without knowing the history of these players on that table, its hard to judge if its tilt or just a move.

donkeis who reraise all in preflop are always welcome expecially at cash games since even if sometimes they win the most of the times the lose... it's very profitale to play against them... of course an appropriate bankroll is needed to face bad luck of the day

If you make a move, do it right. Big Smile

I don't think you would have called, if he had pushed preflop (or at the flop after your weakish bet). Sitting oop in a 4bet pot, hoping to hit that flop is a sure way to burn money.

But raising T3s, knowing opponent will likely reraise, is a borderline play in itself.
