I am pretty new to the Poker world, so maybe that sounds stupid to some, but do you really get rakeback from sites like Party Poker, 888 or Pokerstars like some Poker affiliated sites promise? Or do they mean just their VIP programms, from which you benefit anyway?

Not really some players consider points as rake back( which it really isn't), some sites do offer some rake back( but you have to remember, their making money to give some back), almost all sites offer points. rake back is actually just a scam, to get players to play more, players don't even realize they will lose more cause they think the site is giving them good rake back. my advice is stay away from sites that say (we offer 35% rake back, cause you will lose in the end)

VIP points absolutely are a form of RB. Most poker bonuses can essentially be represented in value as RB. Deposit bonuses, reload bonuses, actual RB, VIP point schemes, they're all forms of RB. Add them all together and they'll NEVER total over 100%, but you can often get upwards of 60-70% RB if you do everything right and take all the benefits offered.

Maximising RB is key to beating online poker and not viewing schemes such as loyalty points as RB as a fatal flaw in your logic.

earning points .or bonus points from 888 is much easier .also in duckpoker is only 350points to earn 10 dollars.others are hard enough to achieve or cash avail .pokerstars need about 750vpp .for 10 .and there no such promotion unless u deposit and play a tournament thats all from ps..... I do sort of agree with Crash about rakeback being a scam, in the sense that offereing 35% rakeback, while letting you pay 50% more rake, than other sites, is worthless.

Don't just look at rakeback, consider all factors, to see what's the best deal. Rakeback deals often make it less clear how much you end up paying.

I think that rake back is a good deal... on stars they give you 10$ for 750VPP points + you get for those FPP points which you can use to play satelites, buy stuff or even buy real money for those... And stars now having promotion that is some kind of rakeback... if you earn certan amount of VPP they give you a lot of money Blink I think this is very good thing Blink

I guess it's good because you need these promotions to attract new players, or entice players to play more. This is, to a degree, what makes it possible to be a winning player.

Alternatively you could have a site that does nothing in terms of promotions, freerolls, VPPs, bonuses etc... You'd pay far less rake (which is good), but you'd be playing against all regs, which may hurt you more than the rake.

But strictly speaking, it's kind of strange, to be paying for all this out of your own pocket (everything is paid for by the rake you generate). You play because you like poker, not because you want loyalty points, bonuses, and rakeback percentages. It is negative value, because you get less back than you put into it (unless perhaps you take the inflow of new players into account).

There are soooooo many rakeback deals in this poker world but if you want to make the right choice just choose a room that offers at least 30% rakeback and you have to play with a high volume of games there so that's why when it comes to room choice read a lot of rb offers....
