A strange story in the news this week.....Ladbrokes featured Manchester United star Depay in an advert which was then banned because according to the rules they shouldn't be using people under the age of 25 as a significant part in an advertising campaign. KLASH... Great story, which I haven't picked up. You would kind of think and hope that a giant such as Ladbrokes might actually now about such crazy rules and not leave themselves vulnerable to such subsequent action! Maybe they could pick Rooney as he seems to be about to have time on his hands!

It's not that strange tbh. One thing is to allow someone to drink alcohol and another to make specific ads targeting specific demographics to make drinking appear to be cool 4 everyone.

i'm with klash on this one- really strange rule... he is of legal age to gamble... so what's the problem with him/ladbrokes advertising sth that they have a right to do? of course 69 year old grandpa would be a more suitable candidate to attract the new customers, but this is not the point... never ending bullsh1t is however...

I understand what you are saying Bowie but the gambling culture in the UK over the last 5 years has gone crazy,evening TV features countless gambling ads throughout the night,the High Street is mainly bookmakers and the gambling laws are some of the most tolerant to the punter in the EU so to have a law such as this is ridiculous. An 18 year old can go to a bookies and bet £200 a spin on a roulette machine but a 24 year old sportsman in an advert is deemed unreasonable to gambling????
