Hi all,
When we are play poker (online), seem everything is nicely, AK, AA and another high card in pocket. Surely on table is follow. How if you play offline, just with your friend ? Are everything is ok ? Trust me, it not like play poker online. Now, can someone tell about experience when play offline ?

Of course, you should play differently. It's obvious. Playing offline you can get much more information about the player that can help you to read his hand.

Playing live brings back the human factor, such as the novice shoutin whoopie when he gets AK, or the loud mouth of the group goes quiet cus he just got a nice hand etc. You can hide these emotions behind a screen but a lot harder for real, the skill factor goes up and now you need a poker face to do well. In online poker you choose a table and stay if you like it leave if you dont, this is a lot harder to do when playing live so you must be versatile in play. GL>

well playin poker with friends becomes another meaning to me. the poker it self is usualy a minor matter, because theres alcohol and stuff involved and we only play for a few bucks just for the excitement. its more a meeting to have fun with friends. playing for huge amounts with friends isnt good for the friendship in my opinion.
playin online poker is more buisness. but when playin offline (tournys or whatever) is for me personaly easier to play. i see their face, its easier to read their tells etc...something you cant online. well, tells you can - but thats something i have to learn/get better at it when playin online.

Yeah, playing offline is good if you just for fun with some friend, but if someone bring emotion on table and everything going hot and mad, so what i can say ? from just a little penny like 1 cent it can be grow up to $10 and more. In play online if not in good mood it can be walk out, in live or offline just need someone to pick a trigger and boom .... usually i'm play offline is 24 hours ( my wife always angry and disagree about it) but sometimes can be 48 hours and continues..... Just for notes, when we are playing offline, we are just raise and re raise in pre-flop, so when flop, turn and river coming is not to much raise. That's to make big pot.
