China is a changed country that has built a lot, sometimes in excess, but now many sports activities can take place in this country. I hope there will be some beautiful Olympics without the athletes falling on the field with various heart conditions.

I did not know that so many countries and so many athletes participated in these competitions. Russia technically does not compete, but does so under the acronym ROC (Russian Olympic Committee), for the doping scandal for which that country was sanctioned. I'm not surprised at the expense in that game. These are highly developed countries that bet a lot on this type of competition. Although I think there have been complaints about the nutrition of athletes

These games have given rise to cute movies based on true stories. One is Eddie The Eagle, and the other (which happened at the same Calgary 88 games, which makes it pretty impressive) is the Jamaican bobsleigh team. One of the sports movies that I liked the most. I didn't know the sport. So if Jamaica comes back again, let's go Jamaica!

no matter if it is summer or winter, the important thing is that a great event will be organized in the country of China, where in addition to promoting the sport, the union of countries is felt to be able to enjoy from anywhere in the world.

the important thing is that things go smoothly and that politics does not influence too much. Sport must take precedence and nothing else. There should be no politicization or anything like covid 19 and vaccines. We want to see only the athletes who compete and that's it.

It's true, we want to see these events go in the best way without anything that prevents both the athlete and the viewer to do their best version, we just have to enjoy this is not every day.

I like some winter sports and I guess I'll watch some too. I would like to see something beautiful, but unfortunately the newspapers insist on wars between Russia, Ukraine and NATO. I hope that they will calm down and the games will be appreciated and without problems

I've been looking at a couple of sports from these games and there are a lot of interesting ones. Some a bit dangerous for me haha, but bravo for the athletes. I didn't know about biathlon (combines cross-country skiing and rifle shooting), and it seems to be quite difficult. But obviously it is a matter of will, effort and training.

That's right, I seemed to see a sport similar to bobsleigh, but individually (but with a different sled). The bosleigh seemed somewhat dangerous to me, because of the speed at which they go, but individually it seems worse!! The competitor dives headfirst! Looking for it, I found that the sport I am talking about is called skeleton.

I really like the olympic games because they promote sports, which is something that we should do every day to take care of our body, in these games we can see very interesting and entertaining games.

Wow , Russia spent more than $50B just for the Winter Olympics , that's crazy money , and it's winter Olympics not summer Olympics . I read in the article that China has already built many structures for the games in the previous Olympics that they hosted , so that's why they spent less now . $5B sounds very little money in comparison to the Russia 's $50B .

Russia is a rich country that makes a lot of money from its products that it sells every year to other countries. Gas to Europe makes a lot of money and they can invest where they want. They are making good progress anyway.

The country that normally hosts the games tries to make everything go perfectly, hence such a large investment from those countries. In addition to the fact that these are countries that normally compete at the top of the Olympic games. Although in the winter games, they are not the best. Good for China that has used things from past Olympics
