I play 10 seater sit n go's. I play for 6 months at the same room, PKR. This is what happened yesterday and pisses me off, i want ur opinion.
Playin this double (cant remember exact stacksizes ect but not really important). 6 left blinds 150/300. Right of me a player who i know for very long time and who i respect. I was middle stack with 2600 chips he was short 1200. I find KK utg and raise to 900, everybody folds and BB allin, i call. I show KK versus his 99, a 9 shows on the river so i lost. (Its no problem for me these things happen). He say in chat ''ty lmao'' (i hate this when players do this but its ok). So i have 1400 left, he has now 2400.
Next hand, i am BB and whole cards are crap. Everybody folds and SB write in chat ''you want win your money back?'' I dont respond.... He waits untill his timebank got 1sec left and then pushes allin. Offcourse i fold, he showes A rag and tipes in chat ''ty lmao''
After that i write in chat ''why you making fun of me?'' He typed : ''Why didnt you call me dumbass?'' Now i was a littl bit pissed cos i know this guy for a very long time, we respect each other and now he makes fun of me in front of the whole table, normally i dont care and dont respond but with him was diffirent. I responded: ''So i now make fun off you? Should i say in chat about your roi whats break even for 3500 games? Your winnings only come from rakeback should i say that in chat just to make fun of you? Nah i am not like that mate''
After that he got littl nastier ect...
Btw i got bubbled in that sng, again he made fun of that, but thats no problem for me, i play many sng and its just variance.
But this guy was really pissing me off damn normally i dont respond but he had me on war

doomdy. i believe you are a superrelaxed guy with a great sense of humour. it must be hard to provocate you. this dude however succeeded. and seriously: i wouldve been pissed as well. cracking my premium hand, beeing offensive (that ty stuff after giving someone a beat is offensive in my book), making jokes of me... and all that despite to the fact i give this guy respect? WHAT THE!? Oo
you know already whats up i think. you know he somehow hit a nerve there and that this is not happening often to you. you dont have to care for one buyin and i have trust you are not dumb enuff to go back to the table until you are perfectly relaxed again. also i believe youll find it hillarious next time you should be in such an situation. i always liked how you take things with humour in this forum. just stay like that and enjoy your poker. =)
tho: if he succeeds in pushing you again you might want to take a break or put him on ignore i guess...

PS: also respect to the other guy. no mercy on the poker tables is rule and tilting a player like you is some sort of achievement i guess.
i mean: look at Tony G for example... its all part of the game.
Just turn off the chat and that's all. If you pay attention at least once then you can't say that you don't care about it at all. You play to earn money, not chatting with other players. IMHO.

without contradicting you guys: i think the chat is of use. i wouldnt turn it off (except it annoys me too often)
you can see when someone tilts for example and maybe get a read. also in my oppinion some chat each now and then has entertainment value
but yeah: if you wanna make sure that it is not distracting or annoying you, switching it off is doubtless the easiest solution.

You shouldn't waste your time for these idiots! I have seen so many dumb guys, and it was always a bad decision when I started to chat with them. I couldn't focus on the game. So nowdays I don't care about these "chat-men" and play my own style whatever happens...

This is the part of your post that would concern me.
1, When people try to make you look dumb, they are the one that looks stupid unless you respond.
2, You did respond and it was your response that made you look dumb
3, You showed that he had tilted you and players ( quite rightly ) will use it against you either at the time or in the future.
4, You mentioned rakeback and at all the sites I've played at you can lose your rakeback if you talk about it at the table.
We all know the tilting at the table is a big mistake, but showing it is an even bigger mistake. I wouldn't be surprised if you receive more of this behavior in future games.
I think you know this already and we all make mistakes - just learn from it.

Ignore the dude you had him dominated and will make money on him in the long run. People like this are rarely very good players, I would ignore him in chat and focus on beating the game. F--- him doomdy

Btw i was not tiltin in poker, i just played my abc poker and got busted no big deal. I was angry at that player ok, but not tilted. I never tilt, I play a BR with 300/500 buyins (yes chicken ) so even loosing 20 in a row is no big deal for me.

Nice Sir wish I had that patience. I thought I was being patience by allways having 50-100 BI's at my level but 300-500 I can't keep up with that. I think you need more BI's for S&G than cash though, but still you got very very good BRM

DOnt let it get to you. I think for you, you must have been tired to respond to him, and he got what he wanted a response. And what dell says, dont tell people on site what you get, rakeback etc. Its not you who has lost out here, its him now you need not show him any respect and you know he is a chit player, milk him when you get the chance. Also sometimes i turn the chat off so these guys dont get there kick, and then the look stupid talking to themselfs.

Hmmm maybe 300/500 buyinns isnt good BRM but very save it is Cos i still a rookie i dont feel i can make the step for 50 or 100 stakes. My BR can handle it but i am not confident enough. I am 100% sure my game will be good enough to play the 50 stakes and higher. But for now i learn at $10 and $20 stakes they are good too me

I think it is way better to use a 300/500 BRM than a 50/100 BRM. Somewhere between is probebly the best with SnG, but since I don't play SnG I can say for sure.
I use 250/300 BigBets as BRM playing fixed limit. Go up at 300 and down at 250.

I was watching poker after dark and some not well known guy got on Phil Hellmuth's nerves and it affected Phil's game and Phil got knocked out shortly after. After the show, the not well known guy said he simply did it to get Phil off his game. So,don't let it get to you.

I tottaly agree with you I'm also pissed of when an other player types lmoa of tyvm when I didn't played bad at all..but remember they want you to be pissed and tilt your chips away so just ignore and put the chat off

You're definitly one of the nicer players I've played with mate, don't let 'em get to you! If people start on you, use the yawn action then ignore them.
I think you should name and shame though, is it one of the other top 20 SnGers?

Its even a player of top10, even top5 2 months ago. But i'm not giv a name, its not worth it. We sit every day at same table couple of times but its just ignore now for me. If i can bust him i do, but for now i just play my abc poker and ignore
