PokerTracker  0
Does anyone use PokerTracker? I'm trying out a demo.

Do you use any info other than these 3 stats,

-Voluntarily puts money into pot
-Preflop raise
-Aggression factor

And how do you use aggression factor?

My HUD is set like this:

Player name/number of hands/aggression factor
voluntary put money in pot/preflop raise/preflop 3bet
fold to preflop 3bet/call preflop 3bet/4bet preflop(could easily just calc 4bet% from the prior 2 stats but faster just having it)
fold BB to steal attempt/call preflop raise/raise BB steal attempt
fold to flop cbet/call flop cbet/cbet flop
fold to turn bet/went to show down/won $ at showdown

I've set HUD to put stats in different "boxes" so I dont mix a player HU stats with his 6max stats for example. 2-3 players stats go in 1 box, 4-6 players another box and 6-10 a third box.

I use AF to determine how aggressive my opponent is Tongue What do you mean GeneYuss?

I used a poker tracker...

I started it only 3 weeks ago so I just use basic stats VPIP - agressivity before flop ( compare it with VPIP and see if he limp sometimes or only 3bet 4bet) agressivity after flop ( conti-bet ...)

Mine is free if u want I give u the link, ask it by message

For cash players a tacker of some sort is essential.

I currently use Holdem Indicator which only displays the 3 stats you mention + amount of hands and amount won/lost. I only play low limit where 3-bets/check-raises are quite rare so not having any other stats isn't much of a problem.

Also it covers a wider range of sites than Poker Tracker, Holdem Manager, Poker office and Poker Edge ( the 4 main, and best, poker tracking programs ) so I can play on sites where virtually nobody tracks stats but I can.

VP$IP/PR/AF are the 3 main stats and they are accurate fairly quickly, you can get a good idea of how some one plays after only 100-200 hands.

As you move up limits 3+ bets, check-raises, triple barreling, big river bluffs and the like are far more common place and as such stats on them become more important. As I move up I too will have to invest in a better tracker.

For example; if someone loves to check-raise and will do it with draws, top pair and air as well as big hands then I would be more inclined to check behind on the flop rather than continuation bet and risk being pushed off my draw or two over cards. Obviously knowing someones check-raise the flop % is very useful here.

Aggression Factor helps you determine your opponents hand range post flop. It is defined as "number of bets/raises divided by the number of times they check or call" post flop

Experience is very important, especially in marginal spots, but here's a rough guide:

0-1 - Passive player who only bets with a hand - Its an insta fold if you haven't got top pair decent kicker or better and they start betting ( especially if they min reraise you )

greater than 3.5 - Overly aggressive These players will c-bet 100% of the time. They will often double/triple barrel bluff, re-raise, bet their draws hard and generally try to force you to fold the best hand. Look to trap them, letting them do the betting, and try to play them in position. Call their c-bets with 2nd pair or better ( or even bottom pair ) If they start check-calling then they've usually got a monster.

1-3.5 - Where all/most the good players are. They often play smart, mixing up their play and making reads tough. Take notes to help you on things like how they play draws ( in position and out of position ) , bet sizing and the like. but in general keep out of their way without a solid hand or good draw. Play the donks instead. On the plus side though they can often fold descent hands if they have respect for you. So if you do get a read that they have a foldable hand then put the pressure on and take the pot.

One point of caution when using the Aggression Factor stat to make reads post flop is that some retards will bet min/small on every flop and often the turn and river too. Their AF will be very large and misrepresent their tendency to bet ( properly ). Make a note on them and raise their min bets regularly - if they bet a proper amount then its probably a hand.

I will buy Holdem Manager when I get to 50NL as it looks like the best tracker out there, they offer a 15 day free trial too - check it out before investing in Poker Tracker.

Thanks for the info guys, very useful. I set up my numbers like yours M3 but there's too many numbers I think. Do you have all the numbers right on the table? I think I only need 6 numbers. I seen one pro with 6 numbers(screenshot). Do you know what numbers he uses?

"I've set HUD to put stats in different "boxes" so I dont mix a player HU stats with his 6max stats for example. 2-3 players stats go in 1 box, 4-6 players another box and 6-10 a third box."

How do you do that M3? And can you take a screenshot of how you fit all the numbers cause all the numbers are overlapping on mine lol.

I was just asking about aggression factor because a lot of times in tournaments, the number is usually very high like infinite sometimes.

Noogey, how do you get it free? I can't send pm on BRM.

Dellbo99, good info. I heard Poker Tracker is most popular is it?

2 sec GeneYuss

Yes I have the stats I wrote above in HUD on table next to name and a lot more in pop up. Some may find it distracting and setlle for less in HUD and have most in pop up, I like having them right on the table.

Sorry don't know which stats he is using.

Infinite AF mostly appears when player haven't reached river so program can't calc.

I will soon shift to HEM cause PT3 can't show position stats which I soon will need at NL400 Smile

Damn it got small hope you can see it Tongue

------------
Maybe I miss understood did you want pic of player ranges or stats on my table? I got a couple of tables running so a bit distracted Smile All my tables are running full size that could be the difference?

M3turbo, thanks. It's small but I see it Big Smile By the way, would you just pay ~$80 for HEM or get it free for depositing at a pokerroom? maybe I'll try free trial at HEM when my poker tracter trial runs out.

Noogey, do you have to complete a deposit bonus to get the calculator free? You can find me if you search for poker006.

------------
M3turbo, what room are you playing at? I have to shrink the tables a little, I fit 4 on a 17 inch monitor. Ya, I meant screenshot of the poker table if you can.

Eehh Im probably just going to buy it so im sure there is no strings attached. Fx I saw you could get PT3 by depositing at Party but then PT3 is locked for Party which pretty much sucks. Im pretty sure it's not cheaper this way anyhow, the pokerrooms got it all figured out calculated for sure.(not a fact though)
I love PT3 and would like to stick with it but I really need to be able to see villain stats from every position and not just total stats.

I play at Party and Betfred(Ipoker) which gives me player base of 50-60K players in peak hours so I can table select like hell Smile But I try to play as much as possible at Betfred cause I got a sweet deal with them, it varies a bit cause they go by dealt method but it's like 50-70% cashback.

On Ipoker tables are not resizeable only normal or mini view but they are resizeable at Party. I bought 24" Samsung and normally play 4 tables so I just run the tables full size once a while I do 5 tables, 4 fullsize on Samsung and 1 huge on laptop screen with resolution turned down to 800*600 so it's fullscreen.

Just ended session but I can do a quick pic anyway....2 sec

My "fold to cbet" and "cbet flop" should switch places just been too lazy to do it Tongue
------------
Ehh im not that good with PC's I wonder why my pics get so small when I upload Confused

------------
If you can't see tell me, I'll change resolution and post pic tomorrow.

Gene,

I have been trialling HEM myself the last couple of days. I have tried Poker Tracker ( version 2 ) and Poker Edge and out of the three I much prefer HEM and I will indeed buy it when the trial runs out.

Poker Tracker use to be ahead and the most popular but I believe players are switching to HEM in quite large numbers now.

Incidentally if you only play low stakes games as I do HEM can be bought for just $55 not $80. The program still runs in exactly the same way and can be upgraded later when/if you move up in stakes.

If your new to using a tracker then just a few stats will do fine in the HUD.Then add more later when and as you feel necessary.

The stats I'd recommend starting with are:

VP$IP Pre flop raise % Agg Factor number of hands - ( as the top line )

Blind Steal Fold BB to steal Fold SB to steal - ( second line )

I've added 2 more lines now these are:

Flop c-bet fold to c-bet flop c/raise donk flop fold to donk

flop agg factor turn agg factor river agg factor river c/raise

Good luck on your mission - keep us informed, especially if you find any other stats particularly useful.

M3turbo, thanks for uploading. To make the image bigger, you can crop it with a small program like irfranview. But i got the idea, I was just wondering if you used suffixes and how you fit them all but I guess it is easier just 6 handed. I usually play 10 handed for now but I don't like it much Smile

I seen a free offer for HEM, do they restrict it to just one pokerroom too?

Do you have any tips for selecting cash game? I just look for highest percentage to see the flop and than try to find tables with shorts stacks.

Dellbo99, why don't you try the deposit bonus to get HEM free or is it restricted just for the pokerroom?

I'll try out some of those stats, thanks for posting. I'll post what I use soon.

By the way, I rather buy the pro because I might want to take a shot at .50/1 when there's some bad players. But I seen HEM for free, I'll email them and ask them what the restrictions are.

Noogey, I can't post email or website. Against BRM rules.
