Limit and stack  0
Lets say you have an bankroll of 700$ and you follow the rule not to buy-in more than 5% = 35$.

What limits and stack would you then play?

Bigstack: 25$ at NL25 (max 100BB)
Shortstack: 20$ at NL50 (min 20BB)
Mediumstack: 35$ at NL50 (5% of bankroll)

No doubt, the first one
I don't like to play overstack; everytime I tried to play this way I crashed my face against a wall Sad
So ,better to follow rules and trying to increase bankroll

the mediumstack I think so 5% of your bankroll

Usually it would be full stack NL25. Only to clear a bonus faster i would switch to NL50. Or if the players there don't take halfstack players serious.

i would play the big stack, because there a bigger chance to play good hands while the stack allows me to wait for this hands!

I would multitable 3 x $20 at 25nl

That way I'd build up nice points for the pot and also reduce the risk of variance.

It also depends on how loose the tables are. If they are very loose then I may well play short stack strategy and try and hit hard in short measures.

Also depends on what mood I am in. If I am gambling mood then I play with a bigger stack. If I want to grind then I make the stack smaller

Hi

See that I made an typing error.
Shortstack: 20$ at NL50 (min 20BB) is of-course 10$.

But I think most of you got the point with the poll.

Thanks for feed-back so far
Thumbs Up

The first one NL25 will be the best way for me!

4 TABLES NL25! Reduces variance, play tight-aggressive, chase flushes with AXs, play PP's and hope for a set and remember: DON'T STEAM! Cool

Always best IMO to sit FS it the only way you are going to get true value as a long term player.
SS works well but its a slow builder, boring and predictable.

Bigstack: 25$ at NL25 (max 100BB)

No doubt about it! Only thing that prob. will work in the long run! Blink

I play NL10L. But sometimes I play nl25. But what i really like is multi table tourneis and sit&go. But now im doing a long break in poker. I will stop a month or two! And then maybe i will start again cash games nl10!

i would say a shortstack (20BB) on NL50 would be 10$, not 20$,(0,50$*20=10$)
this i think is a good way to play if you want to clear a bonus, because you cann play higher limits with the same BR and you can play more tables, because you don't have to make many decisions on turn and river (as you we already be all-in at that time)
but for normal play i prefer the bigstack, its more fun, because you have more options to play

I made a typeing error on the shortstack, of-course it is 10$.

I agree with your post.

If my main foucs is to clear a bonus I often play short-stack at a higher limit then that I would play bigstack.

But doing this makes it at bit hard to go back to the lower limit to play bigstack again. I often find myself thinking "I raise, it's only X$".

So moving down a limit often makes my play worse, I am a bit more on the alert on the higher limit.

I think the best solution for me is to drop shortstack play, and play bigstack. I see that only 8% would play medium stack.

id always play at the thick end of my bankroll as i belive you get a truer game . not as many idiots going ALL IN all the time
Low limits are a magnet for poor players
lets face it .50c aint gonna break anyones bankroll

I would 4-6 tables at NL25 with 25$/table. U will get a good hand way more often. If ur an aggressive player and steal a lot and play way more hands. I would just play 2-4tables on NL25 with 25$/table.
