Yesterday i was playing a $100 freeroll with 400 players, 60 paid, and when there were only 160 players, with me position 40th, it came AK to my hand. I had 3.500 chips in a 9 player full table (table chip leader was 11.000), blinds were 300/600 with ante 50, everybody before me fold, the pot had already 1.350 chips, and i though it was a good oportunity to gain some "air". I decided to go all in, watching everybody folding, except the table chip leader. I believe he just called to see if i was robbing, wich was not the case. He showed J8 suited hearts, and then i suffered watching xx8 at flop, A at the turn....... and another 8 at the river. It was a freeroll and i didn't kept that angry about it, but this is why i prefer playing with AA: SAFER!

@ Fakiry:

Why you still playing freerolls?
Sorry i am not trying to offend you, but i allways read your posts and you sound like you know how poker works imo.
Again no offend but imo your a very good player for wot i see, so my question too you is: Why dont you have a Bankroll and play SNG/CASH/MTT?
I also see you have 5 years experience so why freerolls? Smile

You're right, if you have AA, you have a monster hand and always on front of other players for sure. But after the flop, is just another pair. A high one, sure, but people tend to think that they always win with AA.

Sometimes is advisable to fold it if yoy know you're beat. Blink

Well i think AA is much more better then AK. In the long run the AA will prove much more profitable. If i had to choose then i would surely choose AA. Cool

at any time and at any game i will prefer AA ... AK suited is a very nice hand but you always have to be lucky with the draw ...

AA is better, offcourse befor flop Blink

racpxt has raight, wen u hit A on flop most players will fold if someone bet anything... and whit AK it's easier to get someone in our game Blink
