you ever tried to play only low cards? like 35s 46s 57s and so on.. once ive seen a vid on youtube about this, of course that guy lost many hands but he won huge pots too. today ive met a player who did the same. as to expect he lost few hands, but wow....he cracked many big hands (it often got to an all-in) and took their stacks.
i was really impressed of this player. and i think others too, some were so scared that after their raise they didnt even dare to make a continuation bet if he was involved in the hand
what do you think. he has been a lucky donk? or just a very experienced player who knows his outs and knows when hes beat or not.
edit: oh...i voted for he pro. normaly i would vote for to risky (as the other 2 votes so far) but ive seen him playin and i dont think he is just a total donk (doesnt mean anyone can do this). he knew what to do.

To play "only" those hands is rubbish. But you can mix them in. Those hands are easy to play, if you don't go bananas with just one pair. You either hit big, or are done with the hand.

Agree with Shokaku. If you only play low cards you become pretty readable. Once your opponents notice they will put you on the low straight and know you don't have the ace/high pair. It's also stupid to throw away high pocket pairs as you're throwing away opportunities which could pay out for the same reason; your opponent's don't put you on those hands. Still it's always good to mix up play if you can so the range of cards you have is bigger.

Its not the right play, for me, he is a donk... a donk with huge experience, if you want so.

now that im thinking about it, its not very stupid to play like this.i mean how many times after raises and re-raises preflop, the flop comes short?if some player goes with those kinds of hands, i really think they can make some money..
well, i just dont want to play with that guy, its really difficult to read..i hope people dont start playing like this guy in the cash tables..otherwise, im **cked

Its ok when you dont connit to much chips preflop on such hands. If you know a guy has pocket aces and he doesn't raise em enough its an easy call with low suited connectors. if you flop a good hand you can be pretty sure you'll stack the poor fella.

Playing like that is not playing poker, it is something like playing lotto or something! I already played against the kind of donkeys taht do that. I lose some hands against donkeys that go all in ewith unbelievable hands, but these players are the ones who give us profit!

at all depends what you get on the flop and how hard players are raising, some players just dont care.in limit you can do this easy, see alot of ccheap pops easy,no limit is a differnt story all together.

I don't understand why anyone would want to throw good hands away and only play low cards. I agree with shokaku, you will play them sometimes. Any hand is playable, depending on the situation.

If you play on iPoker during the weekend then you should give it a try. Last 2 days had a terrible cooler on Mansion against the frenchie bingo players who were constantly beating me with complete rags on shorthanded fixed limit tables. Most of the hands won on showdown (everytime, not only against me) were unplayable rags.
For me, no more iPoker on Saturday/Sunday. If they want to keep the bingo players happy, not with my money.

I suppose the appeal is if you hit you will often hit a semi decent hand ie straight at least a draw. But then you can get some lucky breaks if you hit two pair or a semi hand on the flop... I would not do this ... I can loose easy enough with AK why would i continue to punnish my self with 34...67.....23 and so on??????

I dont think you got how he played. The player plays bad hands, but fold them if he misses the flop, and go broke when he hits a monster - which should be a profitible way to play if you know what you are doing.
If he would sit at my table I would swear and call him an idiot to call with hands like that - but now when I think about it, it is very smart. Still, most of the players that plays low hands are donkeys who go nuts when they hit top pair on a table with 2,7,9 and lucks on turn/river agains an overpair.
I will at least try this sometime - and get many comment for my play from the "pros", like I would do.

Its always better to mix hands, if you only play small hands like them you will be losing a lot of blinds and are good only if you have a deepstack. after some time people will get to know your style of play and make you more predictable so not profitworthy imo.
