I think most of you will identify with this topic. Let´s see!
So they say, in every family we have the crazy aunt, the responsible cousin, loving grandma and son on. Maybe not all but I´m sure some of you are smiling right now remembering one of those relatives.
Well, how about THE poker player in the family, who is he/she? You know, that person whenever there´s a card game everyone talks about it. "yeah, he/she plays very well, plays in the internet." Does this sound familiar?
Since most of you are poker players, I´m guessing that YOU are this person in your family. You are "the" poker player!
Tells us about it... is it you? Is it someone else?

In my family it's me. I made a living off of it since highschool and been doing so for 4 years. Always been an easy way for me to start out with nothing and make it into something which is why sites like this are still appealing. I really don't know if my family find it respectful or not but hey, I'm fine, I'm getting my 2 years work equivalency to start psych-school and I can have a blast with a laid back attitude towards money.
All in all it really helps the day-to-day stress But running bad is a bleeping heartache. Guess it can't all be good.

in my family it's me and my aunt. We are the only ones who play online. Some other people in my family play also home games. But i still think me and my aunt are THE poker players

In my family, everyone plays cards. Poker was taught by my grandfather to everyone, my parents, my cousins, my sisters, but it was that 5 card draw kind of poker. Everyone plays extremely well, but when it comes to Holdem, I am the one they come to for tips and so on. Nowadays I don´t really talk about poker with my family, it´s more of an individual hobby for my friends and I.

ghehe you know why that was? i was writing non of my familly plays poker and i thought i had to make a nice intro lol

yea in my family it would definatly have to be me lol i have a werid family my mothers side is COMPLETLY differetent from my dads sides which all lives in italy lol but yea im the only poker player in my family... my dad likes to watch it on tv all the time but he doesnt play

Definately a very dangerous game. In holdem at least you can see the board! The hands are still the same, but the concept and strategy of this game is very different.
But running bad is a bleeping heartache. Guess it can't all be good.
