Good laydown. You made the right decision, you were beaten by both hands pre flop. Yeah the flop was BS but it's just one of the situations where you have to shrug it off.

I would of pushed though. If you want to win big in these tourneys you have to get lucky and hit flops big, playing nitty until the bubble is too easily exploited by any half decent player.

General short stack rules:
1. Being the 1st in, is better, then, 2nd, 3rd, etc. 2. You ss, ignore 1. 3. Shove, any A, K, pr. Broadway cards, and suited connectors, almost, also. 4. You ss, your decisions are simplified, but, you also sponsible for being a shorty. 5. This may sound weird, but, the more action in front of you, is your best chance.
If you shove and ALL fold, you get the blinds(antes, if they are in play). If there is a raise, reraise, and you shove, you have a chance at a triple up!
Posted by Phospate22: it depends how many big blinds you had left? if 10 or under then u needed to push
Yes i agree with that so how many big blinds do you left there?

I agree with Flangel. Good flop there. With 5000 you can wait for are better spot to double up. The only Situation where I would have called, is when I read the button and SB as very loose...
