PartyGaming + BWIN = true?!

Tags: bwin, merge, party gaming.
Posted on 15 December 2009 by "T".

In one of the latest issues of the british newspaper The Sunday Times, one can read that the 2 betting giants BWIN and PartyGaming have been talking about gathering up since last summer. Today, BWIN is worth about £1.2 billion and PartyGaming about £1 billion. In other words, if BWIN and Party Gaming merges, it would create a betting company worth over £2 billions and most probably be a huge threat to some of the biggest sportsbetting, casino and poker sites.

BWIN, PartyGaming dismiss the new merger speculations
After that The Sunday Times published the article, both sites have received lots of questions about the new merger speculations. BWIN denied that they are holding advanced talks with PartyGaming at the same time they admitted that they are always talking to other betting companies on the market for new deals. PartyGaming, on another hand said that they are looking for a major sports betting platform so that they can offer their customers a complete action filled site, however they didn't want to comment anything about the merger speculations.

PartyWin or BParty?
They could gain a lot. If true they should keep betting/casino system with bwin and migrate Bwin poker from Ongame to Party. But Bwin owns Ongame Networtk and Party owns his own network too. It would be very complicated.

Would they migrate the whole network?

I wouldn't like that to happen, and I dont think it will happen....bwin and party ones his poker networks,so if only buying one another would would merge them.....

Does not make sense to me. Both offer the complete package anyway. And both do not target the american market. They are of similar size too. I guess 888 is more a candidate for a merger.

True, but Party seems to be interested in a strong sports betting plataform, so 888 is probably out of the question. And it could also create a poker monster: Party+Ongame could take over iPoker's title of biggest network.

From what I've heard Bwin is already the biggest bettingsite in the world. Look at the teams they're sponsoring, R. Madrid and such.

They could take gambling and poker to new hights!
They each have a few great ideas and inovations just imagin what they could do as one company?

But doesnt Party already have a decent sports betting platform? Why do they need to team up with bwin?

I don't think that these to networks will merge together, but because of the fact that bwin has more scandinavian players, Party could be interested in merging the two networks. But I don't like this idea.

bwin is not able to handle anything what they are doing... no software, no server, no support... they should clean up their mess in their own house before starting thinking about anything else

if they merge it might be good news for me, they might allow players from my country to play on the combined network (can't play on party now)
