| Full Tilt would not been able to handle such a large tourney with their current server infrastucture. So this record is safe untill Full Tilt ups its server farm |

Pokerstars spends tons on servers, its one of the things I like about them: its rarely slow. This promotion has cost them $150.000 to start with, but I am sure they earn it back in notime |

| Could someone explain the mismatch between the player numbers? It says no less than 149k people took part, but that the old record had been broken with 85K (and earlier it said the old record was 65K!). Am I missing something? |

Easy: the old record was 65k indeed, now they had 85k more. 65 + 85 = 150 , close enough to 149.196 imo |

| maybe we ll get further world record tries soon enough but i dont see any other site besides pokerstars that could do it (break the record) |

think that never full tilt beat pokerstar if both poker sites grow so fast as is there at this time now now only pokerstar can do so big tourneys because they use the most progresing system and have the bigest servers
hope u understood that i want to say |

| 30 thousand prizes? Wow! That is an interesting number to try and make part of this atempt. Ok, so there will be more than 70,000 players running for it, but almost half of it will win something, which is not bad at all... |
| Chartoule | 12/28/2009 4:31:00 PM GMT |
| Congrats to Pokerstars. Set this record with that amount of people!!!! I can´t play it, maybe in the next try!! |

| Ali_c | 12/28/2009 9:57:52 PM GMT |
was 1 of the first to get out, on the first hand , all in with 85o and 2 callers 1 with AK another with QQ |
| psycokiller | 12/29/2009 5:51:49 AM GMT |
| I wouldn't even want to be involved with that large of a tourny. Noway I could spend that much time to try to win |
| ZmxPowah | 12/29/2009 6:01:57 AM GMT |
Really nice achievment , PS* is the biggest Poker site for sure. It would be really hard for the other Poker Rooms to achieve something like that. |
| SuperNoob | 12/29/2009 6:35:36 AM GMT |
| surely pokerstars is the biggest site in mtts, fulltilt didn't even give a shot to compete after failing miserably last time they tried to do so when pokerstars created their last record. |
| xxxbchxxx | 12/29/2009 7:03:33 AM GMT |
Well thats wicked.... well done to Oskar69 $50,000 thats a nice prize.. Does anyone know how long it took to play out? Thats a lot of people to get in and out. Well done pokerstars nice world record. |
| LaBaiz | 12/29/2009 9:08:35 AM GMT |
congratulations to pokerstars and to those who participated as they all set a world record together. I wasn't participating, maybe if FTP gives a shot at it I will be there. |
| leroi21 | 12/30/2009 1:58:45 AM GMT |
| i dont think that ftp gonna try to break this record because their server cant andle a big tounament like 150k people |
| AA-Daelt-AA | 12/30/2009 8:51:54 PM GMT |
im not sure any other site is able to break that record, pokerstar has the most traffic and enough funds to guarantee that kind of prize and low buy in tournament. after all the highstakes actions putting highlights on full tilt, pokerstars had to bring attention back to them and they did it very well. |
| FenoMeno | 1/2/2010 9:22:01 PM GMT |
I hope Full Tilt will broke this record, because I like Full Tilt better than PokerStars |
| Sttopid | 1/3/2010 10:37:42 AM GMT |
| right on brotha, go ftp, brake that record |
| Raggamann | 1/3/2010 11:24:27 PM GMT |
| pokerstars just "bought" the record, look at the overlay, the record costs stars more than 150k$. thats just a stupid marketing gag, i hope they don't go on with that stuff. |
