Yesterday was the start of the 11th FTOPS series at Full Tilt Poker. It started out with a $1 Million guaranteed tournament that had a buy in of $216. This tournament attracted a total of 6275 players so the total prize pool reached $1.225.000.

When only nine players remained it was time to get the final table started. The following nine players made the final table of this first event:

Muckducks
Sticky seat
John Newcombe
Amster_ATX
Headbang
Two8off
Song1234
Almerud
Ich_bin_pro

The first player to leave the final table was amstel_ATX after pushing all in with A-10 and getting called by K-K. The board was of no help to amstel_ATX and he would have to settle with a $16.315 win.

When it finally got down to heads up play it was sticky seat and muckducks who were going to fight it out.

One of the hands that decided the outcome of the whole tournament came in the heads up play between these two players when muck ducks went all in holding 7-7 and got called my sticky seat holding Q-Q. At this time all sticky seat needed to do in order to win the tournament was to dodge a 7 on the five community cards. The flop came 9Club AHeart KSpade and so far it was looking great for sticky seat. When the turn showed an 8Diamond sticky seat was probably starting to celebrate but that didn't last long as muckducks hit his two outer when the 7Diamond fell on the river.

After this hand sticky seat was really short stacked and didn't stand much of a chance al he busted out in second place shortly after.

Here are the top 9 finishers and their winnings:

1. Muckducks - $216.512
2. Sticky seat - $131.147
3. John Newcombe - $84.336
4. Two8off - $65.887
5. Headbang - $49.572
6. Almerud - $37.022
7. Song1234 - $28.865
8. Ich_bin_pro - $21.962
9. Amster_ATX - $16.315

A 9th place finishing would be good for sure but if you have a decent chip lead, it's not your goal I guess after reaching that stage after having played for HOURS. Sick hands QQ vs 77, yep sticky should have won that with his queens but I guess it was muckducks' day and tournament Worship

One rule in poker like in real life, never trust the ladies. Blink

But the usual flop if one is holding QQ. An A and a K are guaranteed.

shokaku, haha Smile

I think if you have JJ than ~70% chance an over card hits the board, is that right? I wonder what % it is for A or K to come on flop when you have QQ.

it was a coinflip... don't really need to feel that bad about it... i'd feel much worse if i was holding QQ and he pushed with 89os... hitting 2 pairs.... but in a coinflip like pocketpair vs pocketpair in HU i wouldn't feel so bad...

If you flip a coin, it`s 50/50 unless you have some special coin that always lands on heads Smile

Wow! I want to win that money, too. It would be good for a no depo bonus for me. I would play heads up with Phil Ivey.
