EPT Barcelona winner takes down Event 16 ($482,774)

Carter Phillips had his breakthrough last year when he became the EPT Barcelona, but since then we haven't heard much from him. He has been playing in quite a few tournaments but not won any bigger amounts worth mentioning. However, tonight the long-awaited payday finally came for the 21-year-old American as he took down the $1,500 buy-in six-handed no-limit Hold'em tournament (event 16) at 2010 WSOP.

For the win Phillips received his very first WSOP bracelet and $482,772. Carter Phillips is for sure someone we will hear a lot more about in future tournaments. I mean, he's only 21 and already he has won a WSOP event and one of the biggest tournaments on the European Poker Tour, EPT Barcelona.

Agree. It's quite unbelieveble to get this results at 21 only. He has good skills and is able to keep concentrated. Compliments Blink

Thats what just got to my mind. With 21 most people won´t even have played any of those events. I mean i play poker for less than a year and wouldn´t even think about playing such big events. And he is 21 won an EPT and a bracelet. That´s just super-cool

They say good things start early, and Carter surely fits that description. I mean he just had his debut (for males), and already he is wining a WSOP bracelet. If he could win online games like Durr, then we'll have for poker what the first multi-Dimensional fighter was for MMA!

KUDOS to Carter!
