all know it becouse they must pay out all the monay for the users and after that only close them site all the money will be payed and its good all the pros know it and theyl wrote it on them blogs then people become scaried after closing poker sites in usa
soon i think all usa users can play again poker on these sites

I agree mazas. They will come to an agreement to allow Americans to play again. They (US gov), can't afford to not let theor citizens play online poker. It would start a serious uprising, and they know it. An uprising that could bring down the government. After reading the statements, I now think this resolution will be quick. I originally figured it would take months. But am now confident that FTP and PS's are working very hard to get a deal done. Glad to see these articles. Soon we will see all our American friends back on the felts, where they should be.

i would hate to think that the government would try to take freedom of choice away from millions of american poker fanatics.Its become more of an american pastime and one made by choice. The government seems to be a greedy bunch that would love nothing more than to take total control of our lives and how we spend our money,this time they have stepped on some pretty serious toes and i hope to one day soon be able to choose what site i play on again

| I have not really read up on why all this has happened but why is it only the American goverment that is kicking up a fuss with online poker, i have never heard of anything like this happening in Europe or Asia. Is this happening because the U.S goverment wants to be able to tax the profits made on poker sites? If so that is overboard because the majority of players are probably recreational players and would not be making huge profits to warrant taxing anyway.

| It's funny how Pokerstars will be able to return money, but Full Tilt makes up some crap about how certain 'legal impediments' will delay them from doing so. Kinda shady if you ask me.

Glad to bring t you'll also be able to his great news to all our U.S. friends and mobsters. I really hope soon you'll also be able to play on real money too. Of course the US goverment wanted poker sites to pay taxes but i'm sure now they'll get some money from them. Not all over europe the situation is the same, the exception is italy and france, there players need to register in order to play online poker and they pay taxes for what they cash out. The best european country for online poker is definately United Kingdom, from what i know you don't need to pay any taxes in UK for gambling games.

Am from the UK so hope i can start to earm some proper money from poker tax free lol,
although i am sure if u class ur self as a pro that is your job so i think u might have to pay tax then.

It's possible but i really think you need to earn big money in order to name yourself a poker pro player. I think you can be called a pro if you have at least a $100.000 bankroll in order to be able to pay at 25/50$ limits. You can make serious money if you play at these limits, of course you can earn pretty big even at lower limits if you know to play really good but in order to live exclusively out of poker you need to be there. So far two celebs poker players moved to United Kingdom due to low taxes. One of the is Viktor Isildur1 Blom and the other is Skerjvoy. It seems that after PokerStars officially reveiled Isildur1' s true identity the swedish autorithies wanted to get some money back from Isildur, but they didn't had any luck so far...

Too many "middle" and "low" class poker pros (regarding monthly income) evading the law and taxes by being anonymous.
i know couple of pro players ("low" )here which they earn average about 3k euro per month, before and after tax lol

I sure hope they get something in place to start letting the U.S. citizens play real money games again. At this point I wish they'd let us play the damn freerolls. I'm tired of playing chip games and it's about time to get on with implementing /establishing some policiies that will pacify the U.S. gov. so we can play.
Also, it's been 10 days since this post was started and I still can't do anything with my BR in FT. Tried to transfer today and no luck. Waiting impatiently for results! Good Luck to All!
