Full Tilt Poker license suspendedEarlier today the following statement was issued by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission:

"Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC) has today issued Hearing Notices under Regulation 46 of its Regulations to Vantage Ltd. Oxalic Ltd, Filco Ltd and Orinic Ltd, collectively trading as FULL TILT POKER.

In addtion, AGCC has issued Suspension Notices under Regulation 47 to the above named companies requiring them to suspend all operations with immediate effect.

The decision to suspend these licenses follows a special investigation prompted by the indictments unsealed by US Attorney General's Office in the Southern District of New York on 15th April 2011, during which grounds were found to indicate that these licensees and their business associates were operating contrary to Alderney legislation. The nature of the findings necessitated the taking of immediate action in the public interest.

The venue and date for the hearing will be announced in due course.

Issued by: André Wilsenach (Executive Director), Alderney Gambling Control Commission, Alderney, Channel Islands.

Date issued: 29th June 2011"

Currently all tournaments on FULL TILT POKER is paused and no one can login to the software. In addition their website is stating "Scheduled Maintenance in Progress, The system is currently down for maintenance, please check back soon!"

More info when the story develops.

AGCC just released an additional statement that includes in addition to the above the following:

The above named companies must, until the Suspension Notices are cancelled or the Commissioners of AGCC have reached a determination at the conclusion of the hearing convened in accordance with Regulation 46 of the Alderney eGambling Regulations, 2009, cease to exercise their eGambling licenses, which means that these licensees must from today cease to:

  • Register new customers
  • Accept deposits from existing customers
  • Allow existing customers to withdraw funds that are held in their accounts; and
  • Permit customers to participate in any form of poker game play or gambling transaction
The Alderney Gambling Control Commission will hear the matters contained in the Hearing Notices at a Regulatory Hearing which will commence at 10.00am on Tuesday 26th July 2011, at the Victoria Park Plaza Hotel, 239 Vauxhall Bridge Road, London SW1V 1EQ. In the even that there is a change to these details, this notice will be amended.

So far still not official statement from Fulltilt except the notice on their website. We will keep you updated as the story develops.

UPDATE 18.27 GMT

PokerStars has released the following statement:

"In light of today's news that Alderney Gambling Control Commission has suspended FULL TILT POKER's license, PokerStars wishes to assure our customers that their funds are completely safe and that our operations are completely unaffected. The Isle of Man Gaming Commission today re-affirmed that PokerStars' worldwide licensing is intact and that our operations are in full compliance with all of its requirements. PokerStars' online operations continue as normal and all funds in players' accounts are safe and available for withdrawal as usual with no delays.

PokerStars also remains in full compliance with our licenses in other jurisdictions where we are regulated, including France, Italy and Estonia.

As provided under our licensing, PokerStars has always maintained the integrity and security of our players' funds, by keeping all such funds in segregated bank accounts, always available for immediate withdrawal.

Since the actions of US Department of Justice (DOJ) in April, we have returned more than $120 million to US players and continue to act upon requests as they are received. Players outside the US have not been affected and all cash-outs have been processed without delays. Further, PokerStars entered into an agreement with the Department of Justice which expressly confirmed the company's ability to operate outside the US.

We will continue to operate as a responsible corporate citizen and are committed to serving the needs of our customers in complete compliance with our regulatory requirements."

BRM will of course monitor the situation and update you all. So far there has been no official statement from FULL TILT POKER.

What the hell is going on out there? I really hope that there is a legitimate reason for this ban now, and not some lame cash grab. To the poster above, if you read you would see they're not out of business. Hopefully that doesn't happen. Not that I have a special love for them but simply that it sets a bad precedent.
 Fearsinho6/29/2011 10:39:22 PM GMT
What is happening is natural, Full tilt, pokerstars and some other poker sites will be shut down soon. They all say that have the best software, but the reality is that all those software are to rake for them..... Who didn't win good money at this rooms, and the week after 90% of the hands was hilarius?

This is not fair play, many of you will talk about downswings bla bla bla.... try merge with fulltilt and pokertars or even ipoker and see the results and where you can have a bad day, not a full bad week after playing poker at your best.

Playing in this 2 sites always was playing against opponents and avoid the software distributing our earnings in many hands.

In short, you think that Ipoker, FTP and PS are rigged. Big Smile

I agree, that is why I hate FTP.
 dozn016/29/2011 10:52:21 PM GMT
As soon as the suspension went into effect, real-money play on the site was halted and its servers were shut down. Players who were on the site at the time reported being booted off in the middle of their games. WTF

i feel sorry for them players ,
what if you were in a big pot when that happened with the winning hand,
or playing a big tourney for 6 hours on and get to final table with chip lead and that happens

are full tilt gonna sort that out too, its one big fook up

Full Tilt Poker is considering reopening its operations with a permit from the Kahnawake Gaming Commission.

Earlier today, the Alderney Gambling Control Commission suspended Full Tilt Poker’s licenses.1 Afterwards, players were unable to connect to the client software, and Full Tilt’s website reported that its system was “down for maintenance.”

Now, multiple sources at Pocket Kings Ltd have told Subject: Poker that Full Tilt may use a permit from the Kahnawake Gaming Commission to continue allowing non-US players to play and possibly to resume processing deposits and withdrawals. The KGC regulations require a permit holder to operate its business from the Kahnawake Mohawk Territory, so it would be expected to take hours for Full Tilt to accomplish the transfer of data to servers in the territory.2 In addition, the KGC website says that its application process typically takes between four and eight weeks. Some sources inside of Full Tilt have claimed that poker site either still has a permit with the KGC or could effectively skip this process, but we have been unable to verify these claims.3

The Kahnawake Mohawk Territory is a Mohawk reservation located just south of Montreal with a population of around 8,000. Its gaming commission is best known in the poker community for its regulation of Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet and its many failures after those sites’ respective superuser scandals.4 The KGC has regulated many major poker sites in its history, including Full Tilt, PokerStars, Paradise Poker, and Party Poker, in addition to Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet, but it lost favor after the scandals.5

It is unclear at this time how the various entities that work with Full Tilt Poker, such as Alderney Gambling Control Commission, payment processors, governments with citizens that play on Full Tilt Poker, and governments of countries with Full Tilt offices would react to such a move.

Was wondering where you disappeared to.. SO many rigtards out in force at the moment - somehow connecting dots that don't exist (between DoJ actions and their retarded theories) have been waiting for your 2c. Now piss off again.
 Doberhain6/30/2011 8:45:22 AM GMT
No matter what they do at FTP. It will show up how trustworthy they are if it comes to pay out people - if they are able to do so ... Maybe they should do a last homework and sort out the whole bunch of bot player and farmer accounts. At least that should save them some billions, haha.

That something will happen was to expect. Too many strange things were going on in the past weeks. Hope all the best and that the outcome will be positive for all mobsters with a bankroll there.
 MIGO146/30/2011 9:07:28 AM GMT
Well I only have a small bankroll there of about $ 100 which I built up from zero.
Fortunately I deposited funds in to Fulltilt (but I planned to do so in September).
So I guess I am lucky that it happened now and not later this year.
But I feel very sorry for all who have money in there.
 djpremier6/30/2011 10:09:33 AM GMT
I have also built a nice little bankroll of ~ $120 from $0 .. but now its all gone.. for a while at least..
 B1gfoot6/30/2011 10:50:22 AM GMT
@whamboozeled nice post, I do hope that they are able to do just that the fast track way.
@onlinejoke if you bother to read all the crap you wrote you will see how this blows a hole in your fairy land rigtardness, but I think your to dumb to figure that out.
Some of the comments in here are funny, I see those backing FT are quite clued up in what is going on then there is the "others" who make their own conclusion to what is going on.

Ha, just received my last Fantasy League Reminder by eMail. Must have been in cue somewhere - the very last eMail from customer support... Hey I am going to sell it here for best: 1 Dollar min., who bets 2? Tongue
 ckundt6/30/2011 12:41:42 PM GMT
You know ... That's what is wrong with America. They cannot deal with money. 1st of all ... Who in the right state of mind would book all their incoming money in one account? You know why PS is still up? They have different accounts for each player registered. I am so sick to see my money gone but if it is because of some bonehead not being able to follow simple established procedures it's even sicker. I hope AGCC will re-establish the license or as rumors have it Kahnawake Gaming Commission will issue a license. We shall see...

------------
@MIGO14
Now think about that.
FTP actually paid out. BUT
FTP support was telling everybody... Well, we don't use Moneybookers anymore, so if you want your funds withdrawn you 1st have to deposit through a different service, wait a few days, and then you can withdraw your funds with the new service registered. Some services only allow a minimum deposit of $50. It would be a small price to pay if you have thousands of $$ in FTP but if a large number of ppl do that it's a nice chunk of change being downed.
 glotis6/30/2011 9:38:41 PM GMT
the end...

Hey B1gfoot.

Im not trying to make fun of you,i do feel sorry for your loss.
Maybe its my weird Danish humor, maybe its cos im a Dane, maybe its just cos im me,but i just couldnt help myself when i say your posting. SORRY,if i went to far!

Edy you might know from some of my other postings that I don´t mind to put my name on the table if it goes to discuss those things. But I really find it hard to say you are sure that these are bots from poker sites. Sure it could be. Some of us know it is cyberwar these days in most of the major networks and I also know that many people don´t care about it or cannot believe it. FACTS that I found during my own investigations are that there are many professional groups operating individual bot networks worldwide at most of the sites. These are IT-People, even maybe some employees, pirates and yes - also poker pros. Therefor all pokerrooms are working hard to prevent those criminals to flood their rooms. Unfortunately the FullTilt Software was one of the easiest to be attacked by botters and I hope they find a better working solution against it should they ever open up again. I am not going to post websites here but if someone is really interested to be informed about these behaviors - find them in the www. They are operating forums (with many thousand members) to discuss their criminal work and to make new contacts. But the good thing is - a bot can be beaten by a solid player and I wouldn´t be to much frightend to play them.

uhh.. sure.. 50% .. that is a likely figure.

On the bigger rooms Stars, Party, (RIP) FTP - sure - there were/are/will always be - BOTS. Whether or not they belong to the rooms - Well, with the big rooms - I seriously fucking doubt it. But rooms like Pitbull(RIP) and other smaller/dodgy rooms - sure - very plausible. 50% on any site ? You're an idiot to believe this figure. Or anything even remotely close to that.

Hearing some interesting Full Tilt Poker news from our across the pond sources.

While we’re waiting on full confirmation, the sources are solid and both points seem inevitable, so here’s what we’re hearing.

:: Ray Bitar is out. Word is that on Sunday Ray Bitar was voted out as CEO of Full Tilt. This shouldn’t come as a shocker as we’d imagine any potential investor (i.e. the Ivey White KnightTM group) doesn’t want to buy a company and have someone indicted by the United States government running it, but from what we’re hearing, it’s happened and he’s out. Backing the tip up, we’ve spoken to Tilt employees who say there has been no direct communication from Bitar since at least Sunday (although to be fair, there hasn’t been a ton before that either).

:: AGCC to unsuspend license. Some Tilt employees are being told that Alderney will unsuspend the company’s gaming license by the weekend, possibly as early as Friday. While Tilt and its prospective buyer are in discussions with the AGCC, it still seems early (to us, at least) to unsuspend the license. However, from what we hear, Tilt is preparing for it and has already moved its DNS back to Alderney.

Full Tilt Poker Public Hearing Confirmed for July 26

The Alderney Gambling Control Commission set the hearing with Full Tilt Poker representatives to July 26 at the Plaza Victoria Hotel in London. The main topic will be Full Tilt Poker's gaming license and the hearing will be open to public.

It is now confirmed that Full Tilt Poker and the Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC) are set to meet on July 26.

André Wilsenach, AGCC Executive Director told iGaming Business:

"AGCC’s choice to hold a public hearing in to the future of Full Tilt Poker demonstrates our willingness to act transparently and we will welcome members of the public and the media. As ever at all times, our primary concern is the protection of the player."

PokerStrategy.com plans to bring you on-site coverage of the hearing and we will post updates as soon as we receive them.
