It's nothing new that Gus Hansen, of Denmark, has lost millions of dollars at Full Tilt Poker. Many of his fans hoped and prayed that things would change once the site reopened for business last year and signed him to its The Professionals, but the bitter truth is that he has continued to lose huge amounts month after month.

It wasn't until 2 days ago that the The Great Dane finally booked a nice win at the site. He started off the day by winning $61k against KPR16 at the FLO8 tables, then he won another $182k in the early afternoon playing 2-7 triple draw with Isildur1 and PostFlopAction.

The big winning streak took off later in the afternoon when Phil "OMGClayAiken" Galfond, samrostan, SallyWoo, and cottonseed1 joined the action. Gus crushed everyone who got in his way and passed the half a million profit mark in no-time.

He finished the 19-hour session by taking on, once again, KPR16 at the FLO8 heads up tables. KPR16 didn't stand a chance this time and left the tables in frustration after losing a massive $722,000. In total, Gus won an increadible $1,570,224 on Tuesday - almost $1.3 million more than the second biggest winner: cottonseed1.

Despite the big win, Gus Hansen has lost $1,421,942 (67,903 hands) this year at Full Tilt Poker. In total, he has lost $7,833,215 (1,267,871 hands) according to highstakesdb.

Gus Hansen is used to spectacular downswings, but in the last 24 hours he's enjoyed one of the largest single online wins this year. With Gus now finding some form, we could see a flurry of activity at the virtual felt over the next few days.

Who doesn't lose mass amounts of money at full tilt? Cheers to the Great Dane!

I like Gus Hansen because he is from Denmark like me. I remember some years ago, I see him in tv making millions of dollars. I think he is a great player. But he is better live than online. Maybe he has lost over a million online. But he has won more live. So I think he is a happy man Big Smile
 Macubaas18/05/2013 19:16:16 GMT
I guess cash games are not his strong point even though i know he is a brilliant live tournament player....

This win is defiately great for him, a good streak could bring him very quick breakeven, i think it already happend on ftp before black friday.
 TheMachineQC18/05/2013 21:25:50 GMT
Crazy, I bet it was all suck outs Big Smile Big Smile

Anyways, I like his mind set and his aggression, so I hope he keeps it up. But he's one crazy basterd! GL to him.

i guess with that terrible record at the cash tables,Gus should just stick to tournament play,as those seem to be more profitable to him.

It is not weird to see this kind of news. Full tilt is an excellent site but it seems that some days Full tilt poker gods are on yor side and the next two they left you alone.

Anyway it is really impressive that Gus has won more than 1.5 million. I think my best win has been like 100 dollars after cracking aces with an awful bad beat hahahahaa.
 Sorin88819/05/2013 12:14:27 GMT
After their $1 million+ wins earlier in the week, Gus Hansen and Viktor "Isildur1" Blom finished as yesterday's two biggest losers.
While Blom saw $260,533 disappear from his bankroll, Gus topped the leaderboard with a $444,420 deficit.
 Fakiry21/05/2013 08:56:25 GMT
He's got a lot of work to do before he can sing victory, seven million deficit isn't for all, it shouldn't be easy to deal with this kind of numbers. I don't know what my situation would be if i happen to had lost that amount...

 TigerAxL09/06/2013 08:15:40 GMT
i think his mojo still damaged ,but Gus can cross over ,his a pro .Or he can make an change ^^ go to other platform it can t be that bad .
 DaCapo7109/06/2013 14:54:38 GMT
I have nothing heard a long time about Gus Hansen, but he is really a symphatic poker pro. And it is nice to see that he is one of the pros after the FT restart. He is the face for FullTilt.
