WPT L.A. Poker Classic: 63 Players Still "Alive" Jesse Yaginuma Leads

Day 3 of the $10,000 World Poker Tour L.A. Poker Classic came to a close when 63 players remained and the money bubble bursted. The final 63 players that will return for Day 4 tonight are guaranteed to take home at least $18,970 and the chip leader is Jesse Yaginuma (picture) with 804,000.

Yaginuma (Silver Spring, MD, United States) finished in third place in the 2013 LAPT for $429,810 - by far the biggest cash of his entire live tournament career. He needs to finish at least runner-up ($662k) this time to break his previous record!

Although many big names didn't make it through Day 3 (Daniel Negreanu, JC Tran, Erik Seidel, Scott Seiver, Marvin Retternmaier, Antonio Esfandiari etc), there are a few familiar faces left in the mix of players with plenty of chips to work: Jennifer Tilly (639,500 chips), Dan O'Brien (450,000) and Matthew Waxman (280,000) - just to mention 3.

The plan for Day 4 is to play until only 18 players remain. Tune back tomorrow for further updates from the Commerce Casino in Southern California.

A lot of big names eliminated on Day 2 and whoever wins this tournament will quite rightly deserve the big money prize. Good luck to all those left in this fantastic Tournament

Shit Daniel got knocked out, he should have made it to the last stage with his experience or it was just bad luck, variance and shits, so now that he is out, it is time to support another player and guess who I will be supporting. Jennifer Tilly of course, girls, should win sometimes!!

It's soon to predict if Yaginuma is going to beat his record... but it seems like the perfect time to make a bet about that: 10 mobpoints (don't take me serious, i didn't even ask for admin to go along with something like this, perhaps they can think about launching this on that beta bet game that is still being tested, but this is just a sugestion, and my bet will become on a "what if..." statement) saying he can!!!

Can't really take Tilly seriously - heard shes a socipath, nice lol.

Gonna be a sick sick payday for anyone, must be a privilege to be involved in one of these events.

Looking at the latest news about this event, i don't see Jesse Yaginuma among the last 18 players left. I'm glad nobody avanced with the idea of betting on this against me, or else i would already have less a few mobpoints!

Pretty surprised to see that so many big names that were in are out of the tournament now...

Tilly has a pretty good stack frankly but from what i know you cannot expect always good plays from her. We'll see how this will unfold.

$18,970! Not a bad payday for A: Not even winning. B: Playing a game you love.
Anybody else dream about their turn on those tables?

Good luck everyone! Maybe that will be us one day! Aww crap!
(P.S. Imagine an all mobster final table at a tourney like that? Agree )
