Americas Cardroom Will Soon Accept Over 60 Cryptocurrencies

Tags: Americas Cardroom, Bitcoin, Cryptocurrencies.
Posted on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 by "T".

On Tuesday, Americas Cardroom announced a major expansion of its processing options. In the coming weeks, the US-facing online poker site will accept over 60 of the top cryptocurrencies for deposits, with withdrawals following soon after.

The expansion comes after over a year of welcoming Bitcoin. "We are strong believers and supporters of blockchain technology and we've been welcoming Bitcoin for a long time to rave reviews from our players," stated Michael Harris, spokesperson for Americas Cardroom. "Now, we're expanding our cryptocurrency options to include 60 of the top ones, making it easy for new poker players to deposit and get in the game."

Americas Cardroom and its sister sites on the Winning Poker Network are the only online poker rooms to welcome over 60 cryptocurrencies. Players will be able to deposit with their favorite cryptocurrency and enjoy immediate access to the real money tables. Cryptocurrency withdrawals will then be available soon.

Bitcoin has fast become a player-favorite for deposits and withdrawals. Unlike other processing methods, there are virtually no transaction fees, with the exception of a small miner's fee. In addition, transactions are processed much faster than traditional options.

The expansion of its cryptocurrency offering comes just in time for the OSS Cub3d, Americas Cardroom's 3-part tournament series running September 24th - October 22nd. It features over $14 million in guaranteed prize money, plus three $1,000,000 GTD tourneys including one with a half-price $265 buy-in on October 15th.

Continued Harris, "We're seeing a wider acceptance of cryptocurrencies, both online and live. Look at the upcoming Punta Cana Poker Classic, which is the first land-based poker tournament to welcome Bitcoin for deposits and withdrawals. This is the future and while we can't predict which currency is going to emerge as market leader, we're happy to be a part of the movement that's making cryptocurrencies mainstream."

More details on the OSS Cub3d and cryptocurrencies can be found at HERE.

I think that it males perfect business sense to do this and try to accommodate every possible scenario. I think that their business can only grow from now on and the tournaments will become even bigger

As getting money to the poker rooms has always been the main problem for players from the US, at least since the banning of online poker, offering more deposit options, that can't be easily cut off by governments or banks, is a smart decision.

for america this is maybe ok and they work with bitcoin and other things, but for europe I dont think that in this moment this would work!in europe is more about money and fast cashout from sites!but if americans want this,go for it!

I'm having some fun at this room, some friends don't even knew it was possible to play there in my country. But after reading so much about this subject, i still didn't get very well the true global importance of criptcoins, perhaps because i don't find it's use on low budget mass online stores. As long as this brings more fish to my net, it's always great news.
 pochui9/20/2017 6:55:56 PM GMT
wow kinda hard time even picking what cryptocurrency to pick for your next deposit... and when you just about decided to use one over other you see that all of the sudden you deposit has halved just because... hard time with all of those crypto options...
 Gerimantas9/20/2017 8:17:47 PM GMT
I personally didn't know that there is so many cruptocurrencirs to pick from, and i don't know why to have so much options just to make a deposit. Even bitcoin looks strange to me, and now 60 other options? Not even thinking about making deposits in such cryptocurrencies.
 shokaku9/20/2017 8:28:33 PM GMT
The number of different coins is approaching 1000. And as long as the new releases are traded on exchanges, those numbers will only grow ever more. If this is a healthy situation is another question.

So the normal currencies werent good enough, and now they are adding all these?
Like bitcoin isnt enough for a gambling site.

What i like here is this.
Many sites are imposing measures questioning where your USD or euro deposit came from,
trying to prevent as they claim money laundering etc.
What now with all the cryptocoins They will be ok with it?

Pick the ones which you won't be sorry for when lost. Having to deal with this many crypto will certainly gain some interest from hackers as well. If they could hack into multiple crypto wallets (as they did in the past) they could handle a poker room as well.

for me its enough to have deposits and cashout in normal currency, especially in euro, but dollar is ok too!but now to have crypto currency, thank you but no!still like more my visa card and bank account and thats all I need!

honestly.. money laundry! is the first thing that came in my mind. you may lose a bit in poker but at end the money is clean. just like the mafia does with sportsbets. betting on same game with good odds (one on win, one on lose), you lose some money but you get clean money.
 shokaku9/21/2017 4:33:42 PM GMT
This will not stop until every person on the planet has its own cryptocurrency Cool
 Tony_MON7ANA9/21/2017 4:53:38 PM GMT
It's good news to me. I have not been playing on Americas Card Room for a long time due to their limited deposit and withdrawal options. Hopefully, one or more of my cryptocurrency accounts will soon become usable on ACR.
 Mober9/21/2017 9:15:19 PM GMT
That is what im thinking about.
That they will turn a blind eye, when it comes to crypto coins and start accepting
deposits no matter what.
Can they prove (sites) if someone is laundering money with crypto coins?
I dont think so.
 shokaku9/22/2017 4:41:33 AM GMT
Of cause they can not prove it. But if a poker room / online casino gets a deposit via credit card or e-wallet instead of some crypto coins, it can't prove that either. Actually no normal business could do this.
 CALICUL9/22/2017 7:23:47 AM GMT
It is definitely a very good decision for Americas Cardroom but it will not take too long so the other poker rooms will imitate them. So it has been going on for years in online poker. How someone appears with a new game, offer, or promotion the others copy it.
 shokaku9/22/2017 7:47:09 AM GMT
You only have to look at Mobers post to see, that cryptos are viewed as shady stuff. So i doubt that the bigger rooms like Stars, bwin.party and 8-8-8 will introduce that in the near future. Smaller rooms/networks, espacialy if they face towards the US, may actualy do it.

We should be healthy and we will see this. The money chase is very intense and will not get rid of anything to attract new players. Everyone wants money and probably in the future we will also see interest-bearing loans. This is possible because we are living in a world that is increasingly worse than money. The future will decide who is right. Thumbs Up

I can just hope that this big sites will not do things like this and that they will stay normal!I understand why american sites do things like this and this crypto currencies are their product!hope we will live in normal world for few next years!

. . . I have not been playing on Americas Card Room for a long time. . .

I apologize for my clumsy sentence above. The bold italic part should have written “. . . I have not played on Americas Card Room for a long time. . .” It was an unintentional grammatical error.

Oh, shoot. I did it again. Forgot to put "been."

------------
"The bold italic part should have BEEN written." Disgusted with myself.

For some time appeared more and more banks with crypto currencies. Bitcoin, Litecoin, Zcash, Ethereum, Dash etc. Digital currency catch power and bankers do not like this. The thing is that they will also work in the future with these crypto currencies because they will not have what to do. They will be forced to do this so they do not bankrupt. To fcuk with this artificial intelligence and unreal money.
 pochui9/23/2017 2:39:32 PM GMT
well I do not see this as a bad thing to be honest, the way I see this those 60 or 3000 cryptocurrencies are just another deposit options, you can use them, you can ditch them... no problems to have more choices. shady or not- totally different question.
 shokaku9/23/2017 3:22:36 PM GMT
Actualy, i don't even want to imagine a cashier with 60+ different deposit and withdrawal options. Far less so one with a few thousend. Players will just lose any overview completely. And for developers it would be a nightmare.
 Mober9/23/2017 5:49:19 PM GMT
They just put as many deposit options they can, to make it easier for you to deposit.
They are after the money, and the crypto currencies move fast around, for many reasons
that we all know Smile So why not getting a piece of that pie?
 Gerimantas9/23/2017 6:17:50 PM GMT
I too think this situation with many depisut and withdraw options to use is good thing, maybe some players use one option, others different so with many choice every player is happy and poker site has more llahers whi are depositing money.
 Tony_MON7ANA9/24/2017 3:58:37 AM GMT
Currently Americas Cardroom provides games to players in 167 countries. Americas Cardroom has been the most enthusiastic supporter of crypto currencies among all US-friendly online poker rooms. Let's see if crypto currency is going to change the world, which will be most universally accepted.
 Mober9/24/2017 6:24:53 PM GMT
A broad spectrum of countries and currencies.
It is the only way to stay in the market nowadays after all the changes, regarding gambling
in many countries.

The ones for example, having problems depositing with neteller or skrill, like canadian
players, now with cryptocoins will be able to overcome this, if and when happens to the rest
of the sites.
 Gerimantas9/24/2017 7:04:17 PM GMT
Yes this is too very good for players with deposit problems like mober say, now with cryptocurrencirs are offered to them those players can say goodbye to local politicians and continue to play in their room the game they want to play. I think this is goid news to players
