The PokerStars Festival London continues, with the Main Event looming close and the High Roller playing down to a winner, who will also get to be crowned as the newest Platinum Pass winner.

The game will end late in the evening, just right on time when poker fans check on the updates of the Blog to Channel 4, where the most recent episode of the PokerStars Championship Cash Challenge will be on air come 12:05am (technically, Thursday morning).

What's this PokerStars Championship Cash Challenge all about? It is presented by Monte Carlo Casino, and it runs for six days, with a player field of 727 entrants. The prize pool is €3.6 million, with over €500,000 waiting for whoever is the last player standing. The action is scheduled to show every Wednesday evening on Channel 4.

The format to this challenge is quite simple: An amateur player called ‘The Challenger' goes into battle and faces the finest poker pros, businessmen and celebrities in a cash game at the PokerStars Championship in Monte Carlo. Their objective is simple, but it's easier said than done: Are they able to show a profit after 150 hands?

Whether they make it through or not, it sort of creates a very curious scenario which viewers would definitely find highly interesting, as the mix of various levels of skill, talent and ability produces a melting pot of poker.

If you haven't yet seen the first two episodes of this series, you can see them below:

Episode 1: The first episode features Hollywood comedian actor and poker player Kevin Hart, and poker pro Daniel Negreanu taking on the week's challenger Mila Munroe in Monte Carlo.

Episode 2: British poker pros Liv Boeree and Charlie Carrel get put through the ringer, while Hart and Negreanu enjoy early success in their Monte Carlo cash game.

a tournament to be taken into account for poker lovers watching these tournaments on TV or the internet. The awards are very good 3.6 milllions dollars with 500k for1st. Great success to players who will participate in this important game. Players who will win money will be happy.

More action available to watch on tv. I believe tin the future the tv games and videos will
be much more than today. While the poker world has shrunk in terms of sites available to play,
the ones remaining have upped the prizes, making it even more interesting.

I unfortunately missed this broadcast ... and the replay when the results are already known is not very interesting to watch ... personally to me .... of course some distributions are very cool and they can be reviewed repeatedly ..... but it seems to me not in this times ... this is my opinion

Kevin Hart would not make my top10 best stand-up act so 'funniest on earth' title is pretty much far-fetched when it comes to him.

Every player at the table seems to be having a hell of a lot of fun. Everyone is super-friendly to each other. And Liv Boeree is so pleasant to look at as always. I really like her outfit. Did she get that at ZARA?

this is true. Kevin hart is not the funniest men on the planet. He has many jokes but his way of talking when joking is about the same and becomes boring. He is a good comedian but there are many who go beyond him. Anyway pokerstars will not attract players this way. they must return to the good options of the past and players will come back.

Now if only they could bring back the old promotional/tourney system and downgrade the software/offerings to pre-Amaya levels I would be on board again.
