Antonio Esfandiari Wins vs Kevin Hart in Boxing Match Prop Bet

Tags: Antonio Esfandiari, boxing, Kevin Hart, prop bet.
Posted on 29 April 2019 by "T".

The boxing match prop bet between Esfandiari and Hart may have been moved a month further than scheduled, but it still went on - with the underdog amazingly taking home the prize in the end.

Both of them were 39 years old when the prop bet was struck. Kevin Hart only stands at 5 feet 4 inches (according to his Wiki page), whereas Esfandiari's height is around 6 feet tall (there's no official height info for him available online).

Kevin Hart gave Esfandiari 35:1 odds, because the comedian is "an athlete" and "fast as hell."

Four months earlier, Antonio Esfandiari claimed that most people expected him "to break his ribs or nose" if this boxing match with Hart would really happen, since the comedian actor does boxing as part of his workout regimen.

Now at 40 years old, "The Magician" Esfandiari met up with Hart on a Saturday morning in a gym located in Santa Monica, California. He actually prepared for this athletic showdown, putting on a good chunk of muscle as he did a mix of boxing and cardio training in the recent months. In the end, his efforts were rewarded as he won by decision after three 3-minute rounds in the boxing ring.

Exactly how much was at stake on this was never revealed, but the 6-foot tall Esfandiari ultimately received 35:1 on his money.

Hart wrote in his Instagram account, "I want to take the time to congratulate my guy Antonio Esfandiari on an amazing sparring match today. You worked hard and deserve the W champ."

As this boxing match prop bet between two poker players is now in the books, the comedian Hart is now teasing Esfandiari for a rematch, saying he would post highlight videos when it's all edited.

This boxing prop bet is not really the first time to be made amongst players in the world of poker. Back in 2016, JC Alvarado and Olivier Busquet settled their six-figure bet inside an MMA cage. In 2015, Sorel Mizzi and Brian Rast fought against each other in a charity boxing match. In 2011, Bertrand Grospellier and Lex Veldhuis fought in a kickboxing match in Spain. In 2009, Theo Jorgensen and Gus Hansen battled for three rounds in Denmark.

Well if i had to bet on this, i would have lost, since my pick,
would have been kevin hart.
Seems more athletic. But i read that esfandiari also worked out for this "event"
A video clip from the fight would have be nice, to see, how "rea;"
the whole fight was Smile

Kevin Hart is small in height and could win with a bit of effort but unfortunately he did not succeed. Antonio Esfandiari has shown he's good at boxing as well and managed to win this boxing match.
I like this, and matches should be made between poker players. Smile

These guys do love a bet and i would have liked to have been there watching this. Antonio was getting great odds, 35/1 is huge. to win this and i am not surprised he took up the offer at that price

Kevin Hart is really not that big nor fast so sparring with him is probably not an achievement but he is great ententainer that is why i don't understand why they did not put the whole game up on the internet. Would have been fun to see them getting at each other.

I do not understand one thing. Why this fight is not on the internet? It's a fight with TV rights and i can not watch it or maybe something is wrong with my internet applications. Unfortunately, that's how it happens with some live poker games and with time certain duels can not be seen.

Well i found a video of this match over the internet after all.
And it seems that the match wasnt like some "funny game" that
i was expecting.
It looks like they are fighting for real, with some punches that hurt.
And again the difference in height is obvious there, probably made the difference Smile

I would imagine Kevin Hart has this tendency to overcompensate his height in various other areas and this 'match' was part of that.

It is interesting that these people agreed exactly in a boxing match. Perhaps it was an interesting spectacle, but apparently the spectacle of this match cannot be found on the Internet. Although it may be necessary to look a little better from the other side, I don’t really like boxing, so I’ll pass by.

wuow, i can't believe that Kevin Hart lost against Antonio, i mean he looks with more physical conditions to win. so i its sure that antonio works for fin that match

An interesting prop bet if ever there was one and the odds despite skill seemed set for the taller man to win with an extra eight inches of height and reach over his opponent. I am too wondering whether this could be the start of things to come and we could see a whole host of poker players box each other. Negreanu v Helmuth anyone?
 CALICUL07/05/2019 16:26:57 GMT
Well pointed Damosk. I would love a fight between Daniel Negreanu and Phil Hellmuth, because one of them would have the chance to take revenge and the other would avenge because it does not win anything interesting for a good period of time. It would be nice. Cool

with my boxing skills, only one result is possible; this is just my knockout defeat in the first round ... ha ha ha .... maybe that's why I don’t really like fighting sports ... I prefer playing sports ... of course better just football ... And of course poker .... how can it be without it .... poker This is my life

I suppose that you are a pacifist and you do not have the job with beatings when you were young. This is good because the world has to progress. Fighting should be just in the ring and sometimes with stars from different sports, movies, music etc... Anyway it's nice to see a fight between Antonio and Kevin or Putin vs Trump... Cool
