The 2020 United States presidential election is scheduled on Tuesday, November 3.
The two contenders for the position are Joe Biden and Donald Trump. Some of the most popular poker players have already revealed who they will vote for next week, and it’s quite a mixed bag.
Former online poker pro Nate Silver, who is now a political polling expert, handicaps Biden as a heavy favorite. On the FiveThirtyEight website owned by Silver, it gives the former Vice President an 87% chance of becoming the 46th President of the United States.
However, in 2016, FiveThirtyEight forecasted Hillary Clinton as a 70% favorite. Even with a high rating, on Election Day, Trump emerged victorious despite losing the popular vote by 3 million. This time around, Silver and his fellow Democrats are hoping the pre-election polls are more accurate.
Poker players who support Trump
The 45th President of the United States is still highly supported within the poker community. Probably the most dedicated and vocal supporter of Trump is Mike Matusow, who outwardly shows his support via Twitter.
Another strong supporter of Trump is Mike Dentale. Recently, the East Coast poker player shared a video mocking Biden’s speaking abilities and claimed that VP candidate Kamala Harris “looks like a dude.”
One of the most hardcore Trump supporters out there is actor James Woods. A poker enthusiast and the star of the 1990s blockbuster hit “Casino”, Woods will cast his ballot to re-elect Donald Trump in California, even though his vote won’t matter much given that he lives in a state that’s a sure win for Biden.
Other well-known poker players who are likely to vote for Trump include Jeff Madsen, Doyle Brunson and his son Todd Brunson.
Poker players rooting for Biden
It may seem that many poker players are set to cast their ballot to re-elect Donald Trump in the 2020 presidential election, but on the other hand, there are those who will vote for the other one. Daniel Negreanu, who became a US citizen before the 2016 election, has already canceled out Matusow’s vote in Nevada. In a recent short video, he explained why he voted for Biden.
Norman Chad, poker commentator at ESPN, has repeatedly attacked President Trump via Twitter in recent months. He’s been critical of the president’s handling of COVID-19, and just about everything else he does. It is certain he will cancel out James Woods’ Trump vote in California.
Lon McEachern, Chad’s WSOP broadcast partner, shares the same sentiments on the president’s qualities. McEachern, like Chad, frequently insults Trump on social media.
As for Vanessa Selbst, even though Joe Biden was not her first choice for president as she preferred a more progressive candidate like Elizabeth Warren or Bernie Sanders (but the Democratic party made Biden its choice), nevertheless she will give Biden her vote in New York, as she despises the current President Trump.
One of the most respected political experts in the poker community is Matt Glantz. Despite being openly liberal, he’s viewed by many as an objective person. He may not be a big fan of Biden, but because of the fact that he wasn’t impressed with the job Trump has done in the past four years, he will be voting for Biden next week.
Other prominent poker players who will likely vote for Biden include Brian Hastings, Doug Polk, Erik Seidel, Isaac Haxton, Kelly Minkin, Prahlad Friedman, Scott Seiver, Tom Dwan, Tony Dunst, among many others.

| Whatever games the politicians are going to play , especially and first of all Trump because he doesn't want to accept hisdefeat , the truth imo is one , Biden will be the next president of the USA and it's a matter of time before this comes to reality , Trump can only buy some time , this is what I think .

It's not first time when i'm penalized like that, because in the past received about a hundred votes with a minus or more... from 3 mobsters only for their pleasure of revenge. I want people to have a nice behavior. Here everyone had to say their preferences, not to receive a thumb down as long one who did it, does not know the truth. Donald Trump is a smart and strong man. Biden is something else... Now that voter could come up with arguments but only he chose another solution.

| now everything is over and every news is that biden is new president!what this will bring to whole world,we will see,we can just hope that they will not make new wars in rest world,but we all know how things go!trump probably will go on court,to try to make something about this votes that came with mail,but dont think that he will much from it!

biden is the new president, I hope he does something good, and does not bring wars and crises in the world, only God knows the future, and if the people chose him something good had to do, well hopefully he does not change for the welfare of the country and of the whole world, you always have to be aware since it is the current world power. and anything can happen.

| Biden is the new president of the USA , that's official , the ceremony typically will take place a day during January , can't remember exactly when , that little matters . He is the new president of the gretest power in the world , opefully he brings some good news in all the aspects of our lives the next years . The only bad is he is too old , 77 yearl old , Trump was 70 years old when he was elected , lol .In 4 years the next president will be 90 years old , lol .

| I have te feelingmost ofthepoker communityis thankfull for the outcome ,most well knoen poker players did support Biden , for their own reasons every one , so I guess now they should be happy . So Trump has to be very sad , he will not be president for four more years , like so many in the past from his political party , it's a shame . He went for it with his behavior I think , too much for the average American , I don't say right or wrong , I say too much .....

| I heard some news today about fraudulent election in United States of America and if is true i hope that Joe Biden will be arrested and many politicians from Democratic Party as well. Those people destroyed many countries like Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Afghanistan and even my country in 1989.

yes antonis,for me its also strange that you want in this age to be on top of such a big country and to maybe die on this function,instead to enjoy with your family in normal life!for god sake you will have 82 years on 2024 and who know what can happen till then!he have grandchildrens,so enjoy with them and learn them something in life!
cant say that I have much from any of this two presidents!

| Agreed dule vu , he has achieved so much in his life , he has so much money , but above all he seems to be healthy at this age of 74 , maybe not sane but that is too late to fix at this age , lol . Anyway , he has such a great and big family ,he should be proud of , they will get their share of fame and wealth thanks to this presidency in the years and decades to come , I think he should leave with some decency , stop this theatre , although maybe now it's too late for that .

in whole world we have lot of younger people who could do something better,but we still choose people that have 70 or 80 years to be presidents!
now you can see some videos how some mans put votes in black bags and who know what they are doing with them!trump say that they do this for biden and that they steal it!find this video!it was on street and it was not a post office car!

| Dule-vu, it's someone which stays in the shadow. and vote because he has other ideas about with what we commented here. He can be any member of this site (even moderator or admin) and votes because he does not agree with us. Donald Trump seems to have changed his mind. On Sunday, he posted a new series of messages on Twitter in which says that: he won election and was robbed. There is truth in his words.

Well, the choice of poker players is half half, there are players who support Trump's reelection, but others do not, for tastes there are the colors, each one has his preference, and he repeats, but it is a United States stage that goes to mark a stage and must be chosen responsibly so as not to regret it in the future.

Our recommendation would be to ignore it. The more you talk about it, the more fun it is for the person(s) doing it, I suppose. Or perhaps they just don't like what you write.
In general, we have more important things to do than to micromanage voting rights. On very few occasions we have taken away the rights.

Most of them are with Joe Biden, of course they are with him, but there are others who are also with Trump. Well, in the end he elected Joe Biden as president, and now he will have to do a great job to show the people and the world the capacity he has to govern in the best way, the American people.

| I don't know why Americans have this style of voting, but it's much more interesting if the count of all those who made it... to be modified, so that no one cheats elections. I saw Trump say he would win, but Biden had a lot of votes ahead of him. I don't know what it will be like, but the theft votes doesn't have to exist in the polls.
