Day 2 of the World Poker Tour Bay 101 Shooting Star (played in San Jose, California) concluded with 36 players. The current chip leader is Steve Sung (US poker pro) who bagged up 1,812,000 in chips at the end of Day 2. Sung is about 600k clear of his closetst challenger (Bryce Yockey).

The Main Event's player field was narrowed down from 59 to the final 18 in just six hours in Day 3, and the survivors will return to the poker tables in a few hours to battle it out for the 6 spots at the televised final table - where the winner will take home half a million dollars!

The current chip leader is Sylvain Sibert who eliminated several players in Day 3 to accumulate the top stack of 2.9 million. The World Poker Final, played at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut, is now down to only 8 players after 4 days of play, and Jonathan Little is the player to keep an eye out for. Little has won both the WPT's Season VI Mirage Poker Showdown and Season VII Foxwoods World Poker Finals and the WPT Season VI Player of the Year Award. Not much interesting happened during the very short Day 4 of WPT Cyprus. So, what can we tell you about Day 4 then? Well, Rep Porter, took over the lead after that he doubled up and played great poker throughout the day. The big stacks continued playing great and remained in the tournament. After 2 levels, 10 out of 21 players were still in the tournament as Day 4 came to an end. Day 5 of WPT Cyprus will also be a very short day as these ten players will play down to a final table of six:
