 The Euro football championship is just about to start and Unibet Poker have a treat for all you poker players too, the Unibet Euro Poker Championships! Unibet will be rewarding the best country in poker as well as the best players in each country during the tournament!
Group Stage
The format will be very similar to the actual Euro Football Championship. There will be 4 groups of 4 countries and every country will play 2 matches against the other 3 in the group. All matches will be €200 freeroll and a €2 buy-in tournament with €200 added. The top 20 players in each tournament will collect points for their countries and for themselves. After the group stage matches, the top 2 countries with the most points in each group go through to the ¼ finals.
This is the draw:
Group A – Sweden, Lithuania, Hungary and Romania
Group B – Finland, Russia, Czech Republic and United Kingdom
Group C – Norway, Poland, Bulgaria and Portugal
Group D – Netherlands, Belgium, Greece and Germany
Each country will play a match every two days. All tournaments start at 20:00 CET.
Points system:
The top 20 players will earn points for their countries in descending order. Top 20 players in the freerolls will get 20, 19, 18, etc. The buy-in tournaments count double so the top 20 players will earn points in descending order 40, 38, 36, etc.
Quarter Finals:
These will be played as follows:
Q1: Winner Group A vs runner-up Group B
Q2: Winner Group B vs runner-up Group A
Q3: Winner Group C vs runner-up Group D and
Q4: Winner Group D vs runner-up Group C.
Again, the top 20 players will collect points for their countries and for themselves.
Semi Finals:
These will be played as follows:
S1: Winner Q1 vs Winner Q2
S2: Winner Q2 vs Winner Q4
Final:
Winner S1 vs Winner S2.
The top 4:
The winning country will receive a €5000 freeroll for their players, while 2nd placed country will receive a €3000 freeroll. The 3rd and 4th placed countries will each receive a €1000 freeroll for their players. To be invited to these tournaments you must have played at least one buy-in tournament in the competition for the relevant country.
But that’s not all! In addition to these freerolls, the 3 top players from each country will win a Most Valued Player prize! There will be a leader board for your country and the player with the most points will receive a cash prize of €150, 2nd placed player gets €100 cash prize, while the 3rd gets €50 cash prize.
