England Team News
The big news is on Raheem Sterling, who shall no longer play in the upcoming match because of "a disturbance in a private team area" between him and his teammate Joe Gomez. The Manchester City forward Sterling, age 24, had an on-field argument with Liverpool's Joe Gomez, age 22, during Reds' 3-1 Premier League victory at Anfield on Sunday.
Sterling said in his Instagram account on Tuesday, "Both Joe and I have had words and figured things out and moved on. We are in a sport where emotions run high and I am man enough to admit when emotions got the better of me. This is why we play this sport because of our love for it - me and Joe Gomez are good, we both understand it was a five to 10 second thing... it's done, we move forward and not make this bigger than it is."
England manager Gareth Southgate, after consulting with senior players, decided to drop Sterling on Monday, "Unfortunately the emotions of yesterday's game were still raw. One of the great challenges and strengths for us is that we've been able to separate club rivalries from the national team. We have taken the decision to not consider Raheem for the match against Montenegro on Thursday. My feeling is that the right thing for the team is the action we have taken. Now that the decision has been made with the agreement of the entire squad, it's important that we support the players and focus on Thursday night."
The candidate to take his place could be Jadon Sancho.
Montenegro Team News
Montenegro shall play without their record goalscorer Steven Jovetic, who is still trying to recover from a cruciate ligament rupture that he suffered back in April. Manager Faruk Hadzibegic has also dropped Luka Mirkovic, Nebojsa Kosovic and Andrija Dragojevic following their loss to Kosovo last month.
Right-back Adam Marusic recently had to pull out of the squad due to a flexor strain in the right thigh.

Antonio Mateu Lahoz (Spain)

- Draw 23/2 (12.50)
- Montenegro 34/1 (35.00)
What are the Predictions?
Team England - Possible XI: Jordan Pickford; Trent Alexander-Arnold, Harry Maguire, Tyrone Mings, Ben Chilwell; Henderson, Harry Winks, Mason Mount; Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Harry Kane.

Having already a 5-1 win in Montenegro back in March and since there is very little experience of top-level club football play in this Montenegro squad, England is seen to be the stronger team to take the victory at Wembley.
