In my opinion, I would lean toward retirement after this second on-field collapse. Not because I know better than his doctors, but because he's already survived one cardiac arrest, and now there has been another serious incident that required his ICD to intervene. The fact that he's recovering well is fantastic news, but at 34 years old, with a remarkable career already behind him, I find it hard to see any football achievement being worth another life-threatening scare for him or his family. If I were in his shoes, I’d retire on strenuous sports and try out other things I’d like to do. We only have one life.
