Safer Gambling Week is a cross-country initiative to promote safer gambling in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

This year's Safer Gambling Week runs November 13 until 19, and will see the whole industry coming together in a combined effort to further promote and raise awareness of safer gambling, feature the tools available for customers to stay in control, and provide advice and support for those who need it.

The "Safer Gambling Week" campaign is organized by the Betting and Gaming Council (BGC), BACTA, the Lotteries Council and the Bingo Association. Now on its sixth year, this year's event will see once again a bunch of safer gambling messages both online and in land-based venues, to spark a nationwide conversation about betting responsibly.

something that it is now tradition in UK and Ireland and that happens every year, to have this kind of event for days and to show players how they can make their gamble safer and what they can change if they lose lot of money! ofcourse on one side they promote this kind of things because goverment want that, on other side they always want to make bigger profit and to earn from players! but if somebody have big problems, this should be good for him!

In South America, betting houses have multiplied and it is likely that very soon the problems they bring will still not be prevented. Governments should evaluate implementing one of those programs such as the safest gambling week.

No matter what they will try to do, we all know that lot of players will have gambling problems! More players with problems, bigger profit for all poker, casino and betting companies and thats whole story! In this way they try to make something for players, probably because goverment want that they do something like this and to share some of their money!
