Playtech or NetEnt: Which Provider is Best to Play with Bonus Cash?

Tags: Mansion Casino, NetEnt, Playtech.

Playtech and NetEnt are two of the most important software developers for the iGaming industry. Not only are they regarded among the most prominent games developers, but they are also important in creating the solutions seen to be the future of casino: Live gaming, VR, jackpot networks and so on.

Yet, have you noticed that Playtech and NetEnt are often the games providers chosen for bonuses? From Starburst to Age of the Gods, it is often the fact that a free spins welcome package, or other such bonus, is connected to a game from one of these two providers. You can see the reason for this: Games from Playtech and NetEnt are popular and recognisable; like the difference between offering a prize giveaway for tickets to the new Star Wars movie or an obscure arthouse film.

Playtech has air of exclusiveness
Of course, not every casino has both Playtech and NetEnt games. The former has often signed deals of exclusivity with online casinos, pushing out some of the other big-name developers. But that has changed in some casinos. For instance, British players can find games from Playtech and NetEnt here: www.mansioncasino.com/uk/. Mansion also carries games from the other popular developers like Microgaming, Blueprint and IGT, but Playtech and NetEnt take centre stage.

So, to the pertinent question: Which software provider is it better to use a bonus on? It is, in fact, a tough question, but there are some elements that we can discuss to help you reason it out to your personal taste and strategy.

For example, NetEnt is often associated with the idea of hosting low variance slots, such as Starburst. These games are viewed by players as good option to meet the wagering requirement of a bonus. They tend to offer small wins quite frequently, meaning you can spin and spin to get those wagering requirements completed and walk away with at least part of the bonus money intact.

Playtech free spins may have more value
Yet, it should also be noted that NetEnt games often have a lower minimum bet than Playtech games. If you receive free spins, they are most likely to be at that minimum rate. So, if you received 50 free spins on Starburst, which has a 10p minimum bet, that would offer £5 worth of free spins, whereas 50 free spins on Playtech's Age of the Gods: King of Olympus, with a min bet of 25p, your free spins would be worth £12.50. That's a significant difference.

Depending on your gaming ambitions, there is also the difference that Playtech has a much bigger jackpot network. Dozens of Playtech games, including Age of the Gods and DC Superheroes slots have huge interconnected jackpot prizes, so it's understandable that players will want to aim for those big prizes when playing with bonus money or free spins.

The other thing to bear in mind, of course, is the issue of RTP. Return to Player - the official amount a game pays back to players over time - is an important issue for some casino players, but it should also be taken with a pinch of salt. A high RTP is good, but it's also important to know how frequently games pay out, i.e. the variance (mentioned above). Thankfully, popular Playtech and NetEnt games are usually up there in the top brackets for RTP, so there isn't much to deliberate about.

In the end, our advice is this: If you get some free spins, use them on Playtech games for a little more bang for your buck; if you need to wager a bonus for a small profit, choose low variance NetEnt slots; if you are reaching for the stars, choose a big jackpot game from Playtech. Good Luck!

The spins may be free, but usually any money won in those free spins had to be wagered a lot of times, before one can withdraw it. So most of the time those free spins offer very little real value to the players. As is the norm with bonus offers these days

A choice between Playtech and NetEnt is made depending on each player. There is only the choice of each gambler and depending on what the operator offers. Jackpots attract everyone but you have to like to play these slots and to take advantage of what advantages are.

I can say that the best for me is the netent. I dont like that much the playtech games.
And all of the times i have tried a bonus there, i couldnt reach the requirements needed,
in order to cash out. On the other hand i have managed to cash out from a netent
casino with a no deposit bonus.

NetEnt is known in this industry, but you can't say about Playtech that they have bad games or you don't like to play here. They have many games to offer including slots, poker, bingo, sport betting etc... You have to compare what games it has each operator and to choose.

Playtech and Microgaming are far longer in the market than NetEnt, and they were the main developers of games, when those were part of a downloadable client software. It shows how much things have moved to browser based games, if NetEnt is now the main provider for games.

My favorit network in casino games was Netent. They have a lot of nice games and slots. I only play casino games, when i´ve got a bonus to play. Otherwise it was to boring for me. But sometimes, the different casinos are offering nice bonus promotions.

love when people who dont play casino games and dont like them, comment how good they are and what they can offer!just cant believe!
this news isnt about who have better games, even for me netent have best, its about on what provider is better that you get free spins on sign up on some site or deposit offers, which slot have better value and what you get from them!

Neither? Netent is notorious about giving you between 10-20x stakes on every feature and it's very rare to hit a bigger number than that frequently on most of their games while most Playtech games is so high variance that they don't have good paylines/frequent wins and you could only get even if you are able to hit on a feature.

Yep. Playing through wagering requirements on slot games will rarely have a good outcome for the player. The house edge is just to high on those games, and that is independent of the software provider for the casino.

Before, there were nice games at the casino and some of them, could be remastered if some producers would like this. I think Playtech would grow in this industry, if they will return with certain games, with a new graphics much better than before.

here is not question how much you need to wager or who have better slots, its about on which slot you get free spins offer or no deposit offer!and ofcourse its not same when you get 20 free spins on 10 lines slot like starburst or some 25 lines slot like age of gods!so ofcourse you have bigger chance to win something on 25 lines,no matter is that slot pay less then on 10 lines, but at least you have bigger chances!
thats whole story,on which provider you get more and on which slot!

I would rather try Microgaming, NextGen or Yggdrasil for bonus wagering to be honest. NetEnt has a lot of mediocre slot games which are only good for wasting time and effort.
