I got one of the BRM promotions and then deposited on a site, but I have no idea how the BRM free gift thing works, do they keep track somehow? do I have to click something somewhere?

There are no promotions of this kind, at the moment. the way it used to work was like this. You had to deposit and gather a specific amount of points, for each site. After fulfilling that requirement, you were requesting the bonus award from BRM which was 5000 Mob Points.
