Running a poker room is a good business when managed properly. The biggest threat to you as a poker room operator is churn. Churn is when you lose players for various reasons that may directly or indirectly be your fault. The best strategy is to reduce the reason for churn by improving the poker room to meet the needs of your players. You ca[...] Read more » How can we improve poker rooms?

Low commissions accumulate and give you more money in the long term. Use a rakeback system that attracts players and encourages them to play for more hours, it is a good strategy to ask to start launching it because it has great potential.

Poker rooms nowadays tend to have tournaments with blind levels that last 10 minutes or more . High stakes games have more lengthy blind levels , ACR has also such very long blind levels even at micro games , even nano stakes of $0.11 games , a ridiculous poker room
May all poker rooms change this and decide to have only turbo games or even some hyper , force players to play these games (as they could have no other choice or other long lasting games will be very few ) that would motivate more players to come and play poker , I would increase my gameplay volume for sure .
Now turbos are few , with no good prizepool . Blind levels with 5-7 or even 8 minutes at he worst case would be good . 10 or 12 or 15 or more is crazy . I have no patient to play them . Very tiring , exhausting, time wasting, very hard to get itm ,any times playing and no winning after 3 , 4, 5 hours . Only pros and regs would like very lengthy blind levels to as to find the right hands to trap opponents . I think recreational or new players or fun players would like more the turbo format in all games . The faster the better

There are many things that have to be improved in a poker room so that it is more attracted to more players, promotions on social networks have to be more abundant, more free tournaments for people who are just starting out and lower rake.

Reliable software ? Well it is quite the opposite of the ACR software , especially ACR mobile software . Constant disconnections , table freezing, tournaments pausing or/and discontinued , very slow loading or logging in procedure on mobile , etc etc . Playing there and finishing a tourney is a wonder . So a new poker room should take ACR as a bad example , for software and anything else
As for the RNG , I think it's the same everywhere, so I guess a new poker room will just copy paste the same RNG formula . That's a good reason not to play at a new poker room , except if it has new and interesting promotions , bonuses , challenges , rakeback , rewards and VIP system

when ACR was allowed to operate in Romania i played a little there and it was a good poker room but with bad bad-beats. The idea is that you could make money, probably difficult because these bad-beats were many.

ACR accepts players almost from everywhere . Because they are not regulated . Only 4 or 5 countries are excluded , and I dont understand the why since they do t care for licences. Anyway it's a bad poker room and it should be taken asap bad example for anyone that wants to create a new poker room , a bad example not to follow at all

I have 120$ on $T on ACR for two years now . I spent $40 , still $80 to play . It's so boring , constant disconnections , bots , unbearable to play there . I want to play my last $80 then uninstall it . Anyway I don't win big there , and last months I struggle to win even a dollar lol . I want to get out of there asap So ACR again I'll say is one of the worst poker rooms out there . The greatest reason is that they can be far better , but they don't do it . They have the money to improve their mobile app but they don't do it . They have the money to solve the constant disconnections problem but they don't do it . That makes them untrustworthy They don't respect players and they don't make players' poker experience better and entertaining, on the contrary, it's a torture to play a tourney there
If an investor wants to create a new poker room he must have and maintain a good reputation , he must respect his clients/players . Create a friendly environment and software , a friendly poker ecosystem for the players , respectfully .

The rakeback used to be better . Now it is become worse and worse every next year. Poker rooms become greedy . Ofcourse the rake is their profit , but they must not become completely greedy , or else players will start leaving them .
I think that's one of the reasons why players started playing more and more at GGpoker and playing less on PokerStars . PokerStars changed to chest reward program ending the previous very successfully VIP program plus the VIP and depositors' generous freerolls , then made it worse recently by demanding more rake rto give some rakeback per month 20$ min instead of 3.3$ ) , also tbey cut the cash freerolls . I mean you see other poker rooms that are not so big as PokerStars and yet they keep on having some cash freerolls .
So poker rooms need not to be so greedy . I think some new poker rooms at the beginning they offer good rake back and they charge less rake ,but later , when the many players register and play at the poker room , then they become greedy . This is bad business imo .
I remember Daniel Negreanu saying that more rake is better for the players and the poker ecosystem . Most idiotic thing a poker player has ever said .

That's right friend, the rooms must improve in the rakeback, before it used to be better, now it is completely different, if they want more players to play poker and not leave those who are already in, this should change.

The truth is they don't listen to anyone, they do as they please. Of course it is their business, their money , but on the other hand maybe sometimes it's good to hear clients' complaints . Cause when they become too many , then customers will start leaving .
But as I said they don't listen usually . Some of them they don't give a sh** for their players , like PokerStars , they used to have representatives in many forums , but they decided to take them back , so now if you have a complaint , you have to chat or email their support team directly formally , which btw is not so friendly or helpful , but arrogant , and snob to micro or nano players . If they don't like nano or micro stakes players , then stop having these stakes at your fu**ING lobby . Lol
