Ahhhh . When I first read the name Maria Konikova , my mind went directly to Eric Seidel , I remember reading on the past that she met him and they became close friends . And he taught her how to play poker and convinced her to try playing g live poker . And I think he is a good mentor and treacher . She seems very clever besides beautiful, and she is a psychologist, I can see why Seidel is fond of her )))

For some she will be beautiful, pretty, but for others she will be a normal woman, the discussion in this forum is that she says that it is cheating that many players use electronic devices and sunglasses to play poker.

yes, it is not normal for players to cheat, especially those who play at a high level. There are no strict laws, for this reason there are many adventurers eager to get rich by cheating.

That's right, everyone comes to play poker, but sometimes when they don't give you hands to play it becomes a little boring and I think they want to distract themselves a little by watching social networks, but there are players who say that they use their phones and glasses to do things. cheating, it is a topic to always be debated.

Ofcourse they should be banned , no electronics at the tables at live poker cash games or tournaments. No cell phones , tablets , laptops , nothing at all . Many shoved fold charts charts and programmes or optimal game theory AI software and programmes , really these tools can give unethical advantage to a player .
Ofcourse online this problem is 1M times worse and more difficult to deal with . But at live poker , at casinos I think it's easier

I agree with Maria Konnikova, I think that now technology is advancing a lot and they can cheat with these electronic devices, they should be open to debate and always take care of their players.

How can they persuade players to leave electronic devices away from the poker table , that I do not know . Are they allowed to search them physically ? I don't think so . Are they allowed to scan them with detectors to find these electronic devices they might carry ? If yes , then this might have result . If not , then it will have no actual result at the tables .

There is a lot of news about this, and of course they can cheat, poker should be transparent, a game where the player's skill always prevails and not cheating to win a poker hand.

I agree that it is frustrating to watch some clever guys use their phones at the tables while they play , play with the help of the shove fold charts or gto AI and real assistance programmes . If I was a recreational guy who doesn't know how to use such tools , who only wants to play simple poker , then i would feel cheated against these guys , scammed ..
I don't believe that nowadays casinos are willing to impose such restrictions everywhere . I think that such a measure would not be accepted willingly by most players . Many like to have their cellphone at the tables , just for fun , communicate with their beloved ones ,post at social media , do sth else while they wait for their turn to play a good hand ..

Mike postle was using his phone to cheat I think according to some people who posted videos of him while he was playing . I don't know for sure if that truth , but for sure cheating with mobiles can be done easily .
I also remember some cases in wsop where players were caught in action while they were trying to use poker apps to calculate odds or see the best move according to gto while their hand was in play , while the opponent was waiting for them to decide . This is so unfair advantage . Online this problem is completely out of control . New players should know this

The cell phone is to distract yourself while they give you hands, but that can also be to cheat, and I think there should be rules in each tournament and they have to be followed, if we want to grow the community and make the player feel that confidence, it must be given priority to the player.
