Hey guys, a couple of weeks ago I opened my FTP account to see some high stakes action and noticed a few points in my account eventhough I stopped playing there years ago. So I played a S&G satelite for the points while watching HS action and won a seat to last nights FTOPS warm up WTF did I win was my first thought(I obv don't play tours)
I was playing cash 4 Ipoker and 4 BBP tables on the big screen when FTOPS popped up so I ran the tour alone on the laptop. But I kept forgetting the tour on laptop, once I had KK and was just waiting to repop but when it got to me it was auto folded apperently I was still in sit out mode I also saw in HH auto folded 99, 77 and AKo that would have stacked AQs When I finally started to pay notice, the cards disappeared and I was completely card dead. Got short stacked, waited for a good hand and shoved, best hand won and I continued completely card dead. This continued through out the tourney but I won with best hand when I was all in
We started 43.874 players and were now down 563 (money for top 7500 players). $250.000 Guaranteed with soft payout structure also called top heavy I think.(alot of players get paid but only top 100 is worth winning imo)
Blinds just raised to 4000/8000 + Ante 500
Stack 105.000
Avg stack I think 140K
Table: I've only been at table 5-10 hands but it seems very aggresive with 3 big stacks that play extremely loose.
Image: folded 5-10 hands
UTG fold and im in UTG+1 with AKo....Whats your move?

Yeh sry did notice now...............
Well Ako UTG+1, i play really uber-agressiv when being ITM and stacked like 12BB? So i wud 100% shove here. No raise just push or fold so deffo a push.

LAG or TAG Anyway, you got a good hand, bet you can make a few chips out of it, so you put in a 3X BB raise. the flop hits you check it down unless hitting big.(go to page 8) You missed you gonna fold.(go to page 32) No shoving. No bluffing. No C-bets.

With 3BB u risk a multi-way pot with cards like 66, 44 QJs ect u want that?
Yep. It is to late for a "normal" raise.
Exactly we play to win not to grind our way into maybe some extra dollars, shove it.
I had this situation in a $50 buyinn MTT yesterday (Sunday), i shoved with a lot less then AKo, i shoved with KJo though it was UTG+3 ....... Who cares about a 50/100 bucks extra for folding, we play to win, in the long run ur stats will be a hell lot better then just grinding the money.

U have 105K (13BB) , average stack 140K, u have AKo , get the chips in (imo)..........
Yep and if I miss iv still 10 BB to play on with rather than go home early. Playing against a super loose table my guess is (with them being BS) that when you shove with AK they will take the chance with 44/66 + they have better odds.(good as a flip) As currently your below AV your a long way from gold, you got to build a stack not hope, but if running dry you can fold your way and get extra $ thats what its about ROI. JMO.

Well everybody has its own strategy but i am sure i make more money (better ROI) with my style versus ur style in the long run (no offend ) I am also sure ur ITM% are higher then mine, but my total cash will be higher then ur total cash just cos i play to win and ur play to grind. For every MTT specialist this is a no-brainer shove (i dont mean i am a MTT specialist btw )
But for sure its sometimes very difficult if prices gettin higher and higher

Id play it your way for sure if the table was tight, but as it is loose you can expect the call from PP or even a suck out from QJ or worse. Your strategy should change Vs the tables image. Looks like M3 is going to keep us waiting..

TAG or LAG has nothing to do in this case ur 13bb down cmon u have no option to make moves with that Its push or its fold, there is no strategy being so low.

Ok guys....so here is what I thought.....If I raise and get reraised im calling my stack off(no FE), if I raise and get called I will often end up in a nasty spot with unhit AKo OOP short stacked with 25-30% stack in pot before cbet, if I shove I might fold out some small pockets, Ax and suit con because I take away their FE with the shove.
UTG fold UTG+1 Mobster All in 105.000K UTG+2 snap call rest folds
Mobster shows AKo UTG+2 shows AA and wins
Grats mobster placed 562 and wins $30
ROCKET.......
First available NL100 table is cap $30 perfect that's me 2nd orbit I double up and think nice im continueing on these cap tables they seem soft. Had to limp SB in family pot with A2s though, flopped nada CF. Ran the orbit out and went to NL200 cap $60.
Doh didn't think of the cap thing you need minimum $60 I got $59.5 (normally 20BB)
NL10 here I come post blind UTG+1, check/calls 95s and huge CR J27r HOLA TY.
NL200 cap $60 here I come, it also felt softer than the NL200 games I normally play ofcourse when you run good opponents seem worse, maybe it was just my 2nd good table Raised a couple hands and gave up. Then finally I double up with TJs on SB, dude sits in and post BB in the midle of nowhere and min raises, Btn call, I 3bet pot just hoping to pick up the dead money, BB folds, Tard calls, Btn fold. Flop Js5s7, nice TP+FD I cbet weakish hoping he will shove and so he does with K4o
Hola ship it NL400 here I come.....no wait this table is too good to be true I stay a sec
2-3-4 orbits later(who the f knows? short after) I pick up AA on BB, UTG+1 open 3,5BB, SB call, I 3bet pot, UTG+1 folds, SB shoves I snap.
SB shows AQo Mobster shows AA and wins
NL400 cap $120 here I come....these games seemed markedly harder and aggressive and it didn't seem like anyone was going to give me an easy double. Raise, cbet a couple of pot that I took down and 1 3bet steal
Stopped when the clock hit 04(about 1h cash) with $182 not bad from 75 Fulltilt points
Don't know if the rocket continues or withdraw, again the site is tax related which is the reason I stopped playing there.
Whatever I thought it was a fun litlle story that I would share. GL guys
(I will post if rocket continues in case someone would have a laugh railing when M3 goes broke at NL600 )
