Wouldn't that be kinda fun? I for sure would like to play against you people on occasions. I've been on some of the freerolls, but have never recognised any of the forum regulars there. Now don't ask me how it would be done, or where. Maybe there should be a poll on which site most would prefer. And it shouldn't be a freeroll really. Maybe $1 buyin or something.

would be fun..im always lookin for forum users on the brm freeroles but never find any...we could always set something up ourselves, on partypoker u can make privite tables with passwords so maybe 10c of us could get together! not sure what other sites offer that?

Or how about using mobpoints to buy in? I'm not really sure how that would work though. It would probably be way too complicated to set up, but its just an idea.

Most of the regulars do not play in the freerolls. I think I have played maybe 4-5 in my time here. I know I prefer higher payout tournys. BUT maybe if it was for regular poster, but not sure how that wuld be determind. Nice thought but think this has been discussed before and never followed through on

We could create a buy-in tournament maybe with an added prize pool. The problem is for keeping it only for Mob members - there's really no way of doing it, unless having people register for it (on our site) and we then send a list of usernames to the pokersite to put them up for "allowed to register", but I'm afraid we won't get many players like that, maybe 10 or less?
If it's password protected, we'll see many more non-members play.

Sound great i'd love to battle it out with the Mobsters... Admin do you really think you would only get 10 players? you obviosly have had some experience of doing this. Ive never entered any freerolls (maybe 1 cant remember) but a all out battle for forum braggin rights would be good.......It might shut up ?>:@{)&^* and (£*@:@> there allways getting on my tits...lol Id be up for it if it was on Bigbet or Fulltilt.......possibly party?????????

Sounds like a good idea. There are enough regular forum visitors to have a decent tourney. Even with only twenty players it would be fun for bragging rights. I'm not sure how it should be organised though.
If we listed the password only in the forum then the vast majority would be forum readers so long as the password is posted last minute. We'd should reveal the tourney only a day or two before it starts to make it more likely regulars will play and arrange a time to reveal the password. I'm sure those who read it could keep it secret. If it's a buy in with no added money, there's no reason for other players to hijack it.
Those who play should then post their names in the forum so we know who's who. I'd like to request full tilt if I may as that's the only poker site I really have access to at the moment. Either Partypoker or my mac settings won't let me connect to instant play for some reason.

How does it sound to reward every player that has his poker-account through BRM, with freeroll-tokens on that site; that, combined with a password to be found in the forum keeps the game BRM-exclusive. Well?
edit: and for buy-in tournies it would be token + buy-in

i think the biggest problem is the where and when. we all have funds on different sites and live in different timezones.
i dont see so much of an issue with keeping the privacy. just send a list with all forumer with more than 200 posts or something to the pokersite, or make people post in a thread, that do have interest in playing this (and do qualify as contributing forum member) and receive let them the password via mobmail.

We'd need to have users submit their poker username to us, so we can add it to the "invitation list" at the pokersite - as for instance, we don't know your Party Poker accountname (just an example) because you didn't get a bonus at Party through us.
Or, as you say, forum users should click "Yes I want to receive the password in my mob mail" - then we could send the password out using Mob Mail, but still, it just takes one person to leak it - and it's highly likely that we have members from "freeroll password forums" in here as well.
A tournament without an added prize would probably keep most hunters away but might not be interesting enough for many forum users eith. I mean, who would deposit $20 at a site they don't normally play at, just to play a $1-$5 Mob tournament?
If we could do it at Party, FTP or Stars then most would probably already have some kind of funds there or wouldn't mind depositing, I just don't know how easy it would be to set up 'private tournaments' and then get the results afterwards if we need to add it to a "tournament forum leaderboard".

As for me no problem, Admin. I always use same nick on all rooms and here too: manuedo. Different question is to choose a room approved by all members interested. Maybe we could create a poll for this ( but maybe has been already done, don't remember )

Here's the first problem Some will only play if it's on certain sites, where others might not play.

Make a page where you have to pay mob points to see the password? That should limit the amount of leaked passwords a bit (yes another idea i stole from another site )

Interesting idea. The value of the Mob Points could then go towards an added prize pool perhaps.
But still would be the problem with very few participants I'm afraid - but I guess we have to try sooner or later, before we can know exactly how many will play.
