This hand dismistify even more professional players like Phil. I use to watch Poker Channel every day and I'm tired of seeing huge mistakes. What's the difference between them and us? They have a lot of money to invest, so it's easy they win sometimes.

Phil Ivey is Human like any other player, and humans make mistakes. Focus loss can lead to this, and when you play a hand like that pre-flop you don't expect to win with a flush, so he probably ignored the suits.

For me, it's not an excuse. It's an unforgivable error. Maybe he was tired but ... how many hands has won with 4 cards suited on board? More than a thousand?

pro or not pro, it happens to everyone to not see a flush or a str8 because you were focusing on something else, the only error he made was to not check his hand before mucking it.
