I have noticed and trust me i play a lot of poker that there must be something to certain hands. month ago it was q,6.Everyone went allin with it and won so many times.Now it is 10,4 or 10 5. Allin and it wins so many times. I know there are random number genertors but are there cycles that people pick up on .Every mtt i see it over and over. I am sure i will hear from people "Stick with the good hands and it will even out".I understand that and do that but my question to all is does anyone else noticed that on certain sites certain hands pay off more frequently and I dont mean premium hands. Do people catch patterns and roll with it? It cant be my imagination all the time.Anyone else see this? I am not complaining just wondering Thanks . Read the forum all the time and look forward to responses.

Look at it this way, if everyone played all their hole cards in an mtt it would be odd if you didn't see one particular hand win more than every other as the chances of all hands winning equally is very unlikely. It would also be very unlikely that every time a good starting hand gets cracked it gets cracked by a different hand. In all probability some hands will crack good cards more than once and some hands will not win a single hand. If you roll a dice six times you wouldn't expect each number to appear once. You'll find the chances of the same number coming out three out of six times is surprisingly high. So in any game where there are several bad beats you would expect the bad beats to be dealt by one hand more than any other. And as you say you don't take the good starting hands into account so you are bound to notice the same hand occurring regularly. Then your imagination does the rest. Once you've spotted the same hand three times you notice it everywhere and you start ignoring all the other odd cards, even the other bad starting hands that give bad beats. Your mind starts playing tricks on yourself and then you can't see the real statistics only the memorable hands.

Thanks Awood. Makes sense. I guess i am just focussing in on it. It just seems that 10 4 is the hand of choice.Q 6 was last month. It was just something i thought i saw. cheers

No cant say that i have seen this happening but i can ashore you i'll be looking out for uit the next time i play Sounds a bit dodgy i mean 10 4 thats a great hand to put it on the line for? I;ll see tonight. What site do you have this experiance on? Have you done the all in trick your self? Please give a little more detail.

hes or shes saying that not just 10 4 that there are always hands that win constanly
That wikipedia link was pretty interesting.... only skimmed through a bit of it, but the true random vs pseudo-random para was deffo worth a read, interesting theory. I believe all hands are scheduled following mathematical rules. I think a pair of aces has to win in 80% and hands are written before by software according to this percentage. If you get an hand weak ( but among the winning ones ) you win against AA. It's only matter of brave ( to risk all chips or money you have on table ) and luck

man have u ever win somethere or u only looser ? all weeks u wrote just like u loose 10 20 or more so we can say u not playing good u just fishing ........ but now yours fish are in over players pockets

ihave seen at doyals room that a 6 8 hand people go all in all the time and win with it so i started watching seemd to em bout 75% u hsve thst hand u win maybes its just me but seems funny lol
