Nazgul the bubble boy  -1

Despite Allanon's unfortunate exit, Nazgul would probably still be the unhappier of the two as he ended his tournament run in the most dreaded circumstance as the bubble boy. What made matters worse was the fact that he had put his money in good pre-flop but was eliminated by a suckout.

Seated on the table with Allanon, Nazgul was eliminated by none other than Pieter de Korver (see hand below). Nazgul had been taking note of de Korver's aggressive play for most of the day what was the reason why he made the play. He even told de Korver that he was probably playing the bubble before making the call with a disgusted look on his face.

Blinds 2,500/5,000, Ante 500

Pre-flop (12,000):
Nazgul(CO) raises 10,500, Pieter de Korver(BB) all-in, Nazgul calls (140,000)

Nazgul: shows
Pieter de Korver: shows

Flop (308,000):

Turn (308,000):

River (308,000):

Pieter de Korver wins 308,000 Big Smile

Wow. In an all in situation the better hand before the flop can actually lose after the river? Shock
