Usually you don't want to see an ace when you play with KK vs AK.
I guess this time it was a bit different. Big Smile

basically you pay one buyin and it is split in 5 prizepools. 4 are played out on 4 seperate 9man SNGmatches, the fifth is split depending on overall results (you collect points for surviving players, knocking out players and winning matches).

i like em because they lower the rake (i pay less rake per dollar, than if i played 4 or 5 1$-SNGs) and the good players avoid them usually. why do they do this? the fifth prizepool might affect your game. you cant play solely for win only anymore (an early bust will cost you a lot of the points needed to get a piece of the "matrix-prizepool" Blink, so if you are a decent SNG-player, you are very likely to make bigger profits by multitabling standard SNGs. if you are more a survival type of player, who enjoys the company of the worst players out there, these are perfect for you in my oppinion (at least on the microlevel. on the bigger levels usually only the NLHE turbos and superturbos fill up and i dunno how tough they are)

LOL@shokaku Big Smile

i think so too. knowing when it has more value to fold a reasonable hand is very important in these. at some point you have to pull the trigger though to collect some knockout points, especially in the turbos. i often switch from very tight to superaggro when we are at the bubble and i dont have enough matrixpoints yet to get my piece of the fifth prizepool.
