Have just stopped playing SSS. I wanted to try it, because I have a great rakeback deal so I tought this would be a rakemachine. It's true I managed to get a good rake% but on 7k hands I just broke even in results. It's very boring playing it, and you get zero to none experience playing it, it's just playing like a robot.
So if you don't have a rakebackdeal (dealt rakeback) don't bother playing SSS because you'll win almost nothing compared to the time you invest.
There was a post like this one some days ago but free mobpooints are always welcome I play SSS just because I don't know how to play BSS Anyone of you can teach me it ??
I played SSS for quite a while but I don't do it anymore. It's just too many players stick to it nowadays and there's too many poker schools, tutorials, books, etc. BSS is a way to go when searching for the money...
95% BSS - 5% SSS, sss only to change it up and earn RB/points and throw a curve at the regs. Like weakminded said, works good for earning rakeback since the results I've personally noticed too is break even play. But with the rakeback it puts you in a positive direction. Add a deposit bonus and that helps more. But once the deposit bonus is over switch to BSS since sss doesn't produce the winnings as expected. I think sss is a good beginner strategy since it teaches position and hand strength without much thought required. If you truely enjoy playing poker you won't like playing sss at all and dislike sss players very much.

Yah lol, SSS is only for these free bankrolls or if you don't wanna deposit big money... your bankroll has to be 30 buyins for SSS but it is 1/10 of a big one...
U may have to start with SSS ( most dificult thing in the world cuz its boring, boring and boring ) But when u have a bigger bankroll, play in low limit as a bigstack... u gonna have lots of fun
Trust me : the SSS is a strategy that will NEVER bring in any decent winnings over a longer period of time. Look at the replies : almost everyone that tried it for a while agrees about that, and the reason is simple (just as the strategy is way too simple to be any good) : it uses way to little of the features of normal poker play, which is by no means a simple game if you want to play it right and win over a long period of time). Just read some books or watch some video SERIES about strategies as a whole, and you'll see that good poker involves much more than the few options the SSS uses. It is by far not as "magic" as they make it seem to be !
And if you don't hae the money to play a BSS, then you are just not patient enough. In order to be able to play BSS's (plural !), you need a bankroll AND good bankroll management (which in essence is just a few simple rules of thumb that get you very far). But building a good bankroll takes time, patience and most of all : self-discipline and restraint !
So... sorry for my saying so, but I have the feeling that you just don't have enough patience OR want to play BIG, and nickles and dime stuff doesn't interest you. However, note that in the micro stakes, 5$ IS already Big Stake !
My advice : stop playing SSS, do some serious self-reflection on what you really want from the game, and then start building yourself a good bankroll. But you'll need to acquire ONE big important quality : PATIENCE !
I know you can make it, and I wish you the best of luck
I think at small stakes, up to 2dollars/4dollars, the SSS is very good because of the tons of donks at these stakes. U can be almost certain that someone alwyas calls ur allin bet who is behind. So in long term, u can make (more than just a little bit) money with it, as u can 16 table without any problem w ith this strategy. As extra bonus u will get alot of points at the site u are playing an can opt in for several bonuses, ect. For me, its not a question if u can win long term with this strategy, but if the fun of playing the game will remain.

Shortstack is easy to play for beginner (easy if u are a solid player, means that sometime you can fold easily a pair of 9 when someone raise...). Problem with shortstack is that i dont think youll really upgrade your game... Big stack is harder, but works your skills and is more funny...

BSS is defo more exciting poker but it has its down falls... I belive you need to be a better all round poker player to get away with BSS over SSS wich any one can play and with a little time and effort be very good at (patients) If you have the bankroll BSS is a little more difficalt and you need better reading skills and pay more attention to others habits ect. I play neither thats why im such a poor player at the moment lol no seriously i am hahaha
