As there seams to be a problem reguarding stupid polls/threads then lets see what the ppl of bankrollmob wold like to see happen. A poll for Awood88.
1..No points for off topic polls 2..Polls to only pay points for 24Hrs 3..Thumbs down to lock thread/poll (5-10 from any user and its locked untill admin re opens) 4..Sub-admins to kill stupid polls (admins choice or put it to a poll LOL) 5..A close thread button (5 and its gone) Poster must have a min of 250 posts to use 6..Blue, its the answer to everthing 7..Jedi Knight to exicute poll makers (well only the stupid ones) 8..Polls can only made 1 or 2 times per week per poster 9..Points will only be paid 1 poll per day 10..Outher (dont just click post what outher would be)

Thanks b1gfoot but not exactly the poll I had in mind. I think I will make my own.
As for the 5 or more idea I think it wouldn't work. When there are two thumbs down the post is hidden and this happens very often. Not all threads with 5 thumbs down deserve to be closed. Sometimes these threads can start other conversations so threads shouldn't be judged on the op alone. Also sometimes threads start off good but then need to be closed. It's unfair that the original post should be hidden in order to close a thread just because some idiot has brought it back up. For example, someone posted in the xmas thread two weeks after xmas. It needs to be closed but not rated down.
5..A close thread button (5 and its gone) Poster must have a min of 250 posts to use 1) I think you should have X amount of posts before you can be able to create a poll. 2) have some sort of "abuse clause" so after so many bad polls you can't create any for a period of time. (admin can determin if the polls are worth taking away the poll usage due to bad polls)
BRM members are smart people (admin too) so they will come up with a decent resolution to the problem

So that would mean a new button next to the "report" button; can agree with that if its not to much hassle for the staff.

A combination of these two sounds fine to me. for both ideas

I like the idea of the button with 250 post to use it. Then only veteran will use it and we know veteran like the forum (or they wouldnt be veteran ), so they won't delete polls just for fun ^^ By the way, that's a good poll

hmmm cant say I like the idea of sub admins as I think some already "power trip" on here. just my opinion. As for there being a option of closing threads poll's wtc, well yes but there has to be definate limitations.

But I think a close thread button would be a good idea, but then you are relying on menbers to police thereown site wich can be dangerous in my experiance.
Also "blue is the answer to everyting. was a close second for me....Hmmmm

First of all, I respect all opinions and I consider all post for what they really are: funny is funny, off topic is off topic, about forum is about forum... I admit some polls are stupid ( f.e. Do you like play poker ? ) but many others could not be considered so stupid by all. This one for me is not stupid but had already 2 bad ratings
