Hi guys !
Here it is, after proposing my project in previous thread named "Generousity for Haïti" (and i'm disappointed, because i've got only 4 answers... seems that people prefer to speak about "snowmens melting" and others "no luck in poker"...), lets make it real !
Nobody in the previous thread really said if he was hot to make it, so ill make it alone at start, and if some of you want to do this too, lets join : the more we are, the more we can get money.
So what ill do : i'm just gonna play 5 time 3$ 90plyers KO sng's on full tilt, and all my winnings above 16$ (the buy in) will go to UNICEF ! Here some ohter associations needing funds there : redcross, médecin du monde. I think there is many others associations there, you can find it easily on google.
Some tells me it was useless to give money for associations, since most of that money dont go to thos who needs of it... they are right, but i still believe that even if only 10% of the money helps really poor peoples, its already some help. I mean, just imagine that for example with 100$ you help 10 people (its an example i dont really know what they do with 100$), but if you give 100$, well finally, only 10$ is used to help.... not that much, but at least, you help 1 people. So what do you chose between, help 1 or 0 people....?
You can participate here just by making a little 1$ buy in tournament or a 1050$ buy in, but you can make some Three hour cash game or 10 sng's and give all or a % of you winnings, nobody cares and nobody will judge you, what's important is to try to make something. Another simplest way is to directly give to the associations if u can. But what's interesting is that if u are good enough at poker, you can transform a little gift in something more consistent and helpful !
Ill start this tomorrow ! i give you some update ! Hope some will join me
(As i proposed too in the previous thread, Bankrollmob might make something too : for example, organise tournaments where fees are just given for an association. So Admin, i hope you can do something here ! )

Nice ! Hope you win alot of ... i heard something like that for only 5 $ a family of four would have clean water in africa for one weeks time so it sure doesnt need to be much $ to help people all around the world.

PokerStars opened an Haiti Fund campain. You can contribute in 2 ways: -Register on a "virtual tournament" on Tournaments/Special, buyins from $1 to $1K -Transfer funds to the account 'Haiti Fund'
In both cases PS will double up the donations and offer them to Red Cross.
I paid already a BI of $5, and since I have a medium 3 digit BR there at the end of each day I will round its value to the dollar below. (Example: $XXX.63, means a $0.63 donation)

Here is some update about the situation on Haïti : The help become harder there, because gangs are making pillage (i really can't understand how its possible to be so freaky... damn, everybody is already in some really bad state and some bring yet some more troubles) ! The number of dead is evaluate between 40 000 and 50 000 by the red cross, but some say its more than 100 000 ! And since the rescue is not easy on there,unfortunatly, many might yet die !

i agree, everyone should put their bit in and donate some money for the cause. just research who has the lowest admin fees, as some charities actually pass on very little money whilst others pass on over 90%

About my 5x 3$ 90plyrs sng's, ill start the first one this evening normally. And now i plane to give all my mobpoints (means 4000=40$ and i already gave 500=5$) if i dont cash enough in those 5 tournaments !

Hi guys, some update for my sng's. I think ill play 10x2.25$ 6 or 9 plyrs sng's, because i dont have enough time to play 90 plyrs sng's (i still damn got to study for tests ). So ill make my ten sng's, and give through full tilt (they are making the same thing Pokerstars do : charity tournament, possibility to send ot account "aid for haiti" and they double all funds !). Lets make some 300% ROI !
------------ First results : 1st sng (6plyrs), busted 5th 2nd sng (9plyrs) out 5th 3d sng (6plyrs) busted third... Damn no way in those three sng's : 8% badbeat... my 60% didn held on and same for my 70%
------------ Next two games 4th sng (6plyrs) : out 5th, a ran into AJ slowplayed, with my AT (A on the flop) 5th sng (6plyrs) : first (it was time) for 7$80
Damn, i need a lil bit more luck for haïti !
------------ Next two games : 6th sng (6plyrs) : out 5th on a big draw, but didnt hit... 7th sng (6plyrs): first ! +7.80$ 8th sng(6plyrs) : 2nd : 4.2$ so for now : 18 $ invest and 19.80$ back at least, im making money, but its not enough... should make first for the next sng's !
------------ 9th sng (6plyrs) : out 5th, my KQ vs KJ (he hit two pair -_- ) 10th sng (6plyrs) : lol, TT vs 77 badbeated, then KQ vs KT badbeated... no luck those times
