whats wrong with good old fashioned poker? people keep trying to come up with new ideas, if we were bored we wouldnt play it anymore, but we still are?

I havnt tried it though, i might love it Big Smile

A good poker player is a disciplined, patient and observant guy. What do those values worth in rush tables? NOTHING.
So don't mix up the word Rush with the word Poker because Rush is not Poker.
It's a brankroll black hole designed to generate tons of rake. Fish money enters there and quickly goes away, too quick in my opinion, and may leave them thinking about giving up poker.

If it doesn't die soon, it may dry up the real poker games.

Rush poker isnt good for the game. They should rename it to bingo poker lol, but it is good to play once in a while when you get bored though. One good thing about rush poker is its hard to datamine from it, you can't observe those tables and HUDs wont help at all.

I never saw it, wot about the blinds? You go to next table right, so you stay at the same position?

Not sure how the blinds work, the position is random, sometimes youll play BB 2-3 time in a run then outhers no blinds for ages.

The big blind isn't random. On table creation for a hand, the player with most time without paying the bb is going to pay it, if there's a tie one of those will be randomly chosen. All other positions are pure random, even the sb.

Your first hand on a session will always be on a bb position too.

IS Rush poker the new way forward....
Do you like it or hate it?
Will PPL get bored and go back to normall poker?
At the moment on N10 there are just under 1K playing at normal ring games, lots of them will be multitabling.
At NL10 for rush there is 2200 playing.
Will outher sites match FT fast paced games.
Me myself, I like it, but ill still be playing normall I love milking a fish and its a bit harder at rush, they have to jump in to the net there.
What do you guys think?

I think it's an interesting concept. However, once the novelty value wears out - there will probably be less people playing it... i might be wrong though Smile
I like it, but you always have to be aware of your position on the table - and it's getting a little hard when you're multitabling...
Tried NLH micros - came out +$17... will have to try omaha too Smile

I think Rush has a short life ahead. It will attract many players who are trying it out, but nothing beats having the chance to get to know your opponents so you can get more money out of them.

I think it's just a fase. Tried it out, but didn't do anything special for me, on the contrary.

It's addicting ...

I played 3-4 tables and the action is just great, a lot of gamblers and donkeys so you can really expect to get paid off ... only problem is that because you play so much hands, the swings are huge !! lost full house against quads and stuff and you really see a lot of bad beats, off course this is because many players play tight so when they do clash it's mostly with AK against AQ or AA against KK ...

I played around 2k hands on it and was up around 4BI's ... next day, my luck ran out and lost 7BI's Confused mostly because I started tilting, and because of the fast action, you only realize you tilting when it's to late ...

My advise is when you start playing them, don't use the 20 - 25 Buy in rule for bankrollmanagment, but go to 35BI's, because of the swings ...

I've played a bit with it with my small bankroll on FT. I think people like it....I'm not sure I do. I plan to play both games, as I like classic poker better (i can keep track of how a certain player plays), but rush poker does wonders for rakebakc Tongue

its cool to see alot of hand like that but its true its too fast to take time to see how others players are playing ...
and its damn tilt risky Sad
if i get a big bankroll maby il try it again but not for now Agree

The concept is interesting and i think they will get some good player traffic there but good old cash game will still be dominating i think.
For me, things or going to fast and my game is becoming to impulsive ^^

Well Iv had my fair share of RUSH poker now, and can honestly say, YAWWWN.
Was fun to start, but novelty has run off, kinda like spinnning a bandit wheel and hoping for AA etc.
Not much skill involved.
And there is no thrill when you win.
Cant see me playing it again TBH, back to normall poker.

Haven't played it yet because mostly I am a tourney player and do not play cash game, so nothing for me...

I was reluctant to try it at first, but I couldn't resist when they gave me $5 just to earn 10 FTP's playing it! That was back when it was really new and the lowest stake was NL10, but since they made a NL5 stake, I will use it to get most of this fast $50 bonus they are running now. I calculated that I could grind for 6 hours a day and get the entire bonus just in time, but screw that, I'll sacrifice the poker fundamentals for a day or two, because if I play tight enough I should be able to get the rest of my bonus easily and only lose a buy-in, at most. However, I am building up my roll to a level where I have plenty of buffer money, as unfortunately my loser-self needs to withdraw very soon and still be able to play so that I can withdraw again in the future. *SIGHHH* lol Sleepy

------------
$400?!?!? Shock Why dude? Were you multitabling, and what stakes were you playing? I'm up $5, not counting the super easy to get $5 Rush Poker bonus, and I've only played NL10 (when it was the lowest for Rush) and then NL5 when they added it recently.
