have been playing poker for the last 2 years and have played around 10k games on various sites. Basically my problem is i turn 10 into 100 in a day then have one bad beat and they blow my roll i have done it for the past 2 years. I have had a 3 week break from poker and have now quit smokin and drinking. In total i would say i have won 50k in total and then just gone on 1 table and blew it. Around a year ago i came first in a tourney on i poker network for 10 dollar buy in and got 17000 dollars then came second in one for 660 dollars. The previous week i turned a free 10 dollars in 3000 and blew it all on 1 single hand. I have come to the conclusion that i am a grat player but i cant take failure, when i know i am better than the majority of pe ole at my table, and they just suck out on me. I have looked back on all my previous games andcashes and have seen a pattern. I have moved up the stakes way too fast. I am easily good enough to beat the stakes but 20 buyins is no way comfortale enough to play your solid game with no pressure. I have been trying blame the site and the players saying sites are rigged and stuff. Looking at all the thories that if u withdraw u go on a bad run. They is bots and all this kind of stuff. But i beleive it is me who as been the problem and not the rng or bots. I consider my self to be a excellent heads up sit and go player so i am starting from scratch on monday the 15th march. I am going to start with 10 gbp which is 15 dollars. I am going to play 2 dollars heads up two at a time 9 hours a day 7 days a week. I am going to play in total 1000 games and will acheive this by 15th april. I know u may be thinking i breaking the number one rule of only having 7 buyins but i know i can easily win 5 or 10 of theses games in a row because the quaklity of play is not that great. No disrespect to any guys but it is true. Here is my target PLAY 1000 $2 GAMES- DO NOT MOVE UP STAKES PLAY 2 AT A TIME(I CAN PLAY 4 EASILY BUT THEN IT BRINGS MY WIN RATE DOWN) AFTER THE FIRST WEEK WHEN MY BANKROLL IS AT $100 PLUS PLAY 1 $2 or $5 tourney THIS IS MY TARGET FOR THE AMMOUNT I EXSPECT TO ACHEIVE
PLAY 1000 win 700 lose 300= profit $700. I know i can do this easily i just want people views and if they thing it is possible i will updat once a day or u can watch or play me i will be playing on the i poker network and my name is stottpot. Once i acheive this goal i will move up to the $5 heads up and acheive the same and should exspect to win 65% of games out of 1000 in the same time scale. By this time my roll will be $3000 i know will get a lot of doubters but i doing this to show if u put the time and effort in u can suceed instead of playing the donkey way which i have for the last 2 years dont get me wrong u win in short term but not in the long . I Will post everyday or two with my progress

yes this is true i know i could move up stakes alot uicker but that as always failed so if i have like 100 buy ins minimum for the next level then they is no pressure on the money i will post on tuesday and let u know how my first 2 days have gone
4 tables is easy for me but i play on my laptop and the screen is not that big. i got a lcd tv coming tuesday so if i can use my vga lead to connect it to that then i will play 4 tables cause i am comfortable playing 4 as 2 gets a bit too slow if u are playing like 50 a day lol

Anyway, its good to have a long term goal, offcourse we all like rocket storys but its better slowly build ur roll with no scared money and no change of goin busto

A good idea to follow the bankroll managment. I just want to say that will be good that if you will have also a rakeback, its also will be big enough if you will play so much. Good luck and keep us update

I belive the point you are at now is only a few hands infront of me...hehehe I am prone to do very similar things and my game is way off paar at the moment. You come across as a compitent player who has had enough experiance to judge him self the harshest..... you know what you are capable of and have set your target "you belive you can achieve this" and that is the only opinion you need. Have faith in your skill and learn to recognise that feeling.....that crazy player inside you! you know the one that thinks well ive just beaten that level let just have a look at the bigger games....NO! give your self the time and effort in order to achieve you goals and if you are as good as you think ..., then you will reap the rewards by building your bankroll Thats what we all want. yep this is true. I think it is the same for 90 per cent of online players. When things are going good, every thing is fine. Its when u get sucked out on by total donkey time after time what turns us all on tilt. Many players say they dont tilt but i assure u they are lying and have blew they roll many times in 1 session when they have took hours or days to build it. Skill is a big factor in poker but i beleive the bigest skill is being able to control your emotions, handeling beats and bankrolll management which is easier said than done. I have had a lot of exsperiance at online poker and i have read alot of stuff online about bankroll management and i totally disagree u can move up stakes with only 20 buy ins,cause the swings are evil especially at cash and they is no way u can play comfortable especially at the 1/2 dollar no tables. I not one into conspiraces aginst poker and stuff, but the people who are giving this advice are all sposored by the poker sites and they want u to go broke so u can reload. As for the chris fergurson challenge, he done this like 4/5 years ago when the game was a lot weaker and no one knew about odds and postion.l I do beleive any one can make it to the top but u need play with 50/80 buy ins and play a tight aggreive game and never tilt. All u need is balls at the higher stakes, biggest example is isildur he played the worst starting hands and just raised raised raised. Goes to show in the short term u can play like a donk with anything but in long term u go broke. I am not slating isildur cause he done well, but i would not say he is a great, he just plays like the money does not mean nothing and if u play like that u could win massive short term, but he was not wise and blew it all in a month. I can guarantee if he was at your table and u not know who he was u would say he was the biggest donk u ever seen. I think this type of player is destroying poker cause evryone is calling with stuff like 58 and 34 and hitting and it impossible to put them on a hand. They seen gus do it and thought it a winning system, maybe short term but not long term. I Know a few will disagree but thats what a forum is for, opinions and views.
