Why Fulltilt doesn't offer DoN SnGs  0
Fulltilt has the best variety of tournaments (matrix, shootout, bounty, and so on).
I cannot understand why not Double or Nothing.
why in your opinion?

I have always wondered that Magatt, really have, maybe its because they feel that they dont need them as people are happy with what they already have on offer, I dont think that they will ever have them unless we all have a huge petition to get them on ? What do you think ? I really do like playing DoN because it is a very simple way to build your bankroll and keep the BRM in order.

Good question Magatt. Thumbs Up

Looks like not enough players asking for this kind of games at Full Tilt.

I've also always wondered that. i used to play them quite a lot, so at one point i wished they had them, but now i don't play them anymore so i really don't care about that, but i'd still be interested to know the reason they don't have them. Club

I think its because they have 9 table instead of 10 as the standard. Means you cant easily have normal double or nothing SnG. You gota go to 18 or 6, both of which i believe are less popular than the standard full single table SnG format.

Thats the only reasonable thing i could think of, because honestly full tilt offers everything. Im partly excited to try a cashout tournament. It does my mind in thinking about exactly what the most profitable way to play one would be.

(cashout tournaments allow you to take chips off the table for half the value you bought them for. Half your buy in goes to position prizes and the other halfs value is in the chips themselves. Do you cash out early on just to minimize your variation but shoot yourself in the foot for chances to win because of it, or do you not cash out at all and sometimes lose a possible 2-3 by ins of prize for a greater shot at first)

I really like DoN's, used to play at partypoker, but they get boring since it's only fold fold foldand also there's always the same sharks sitted on tables..fulltilt should really think about adding those, for example rake at partypoker is 2$ for 6$ buyin and 2$ for 11$ buyin also.. nice way to profit

Hi magatt966.

'Not enough users are asking for that kind of SnG'. Is the answer of FTP i ever read.
In my opinion, FTP doesn´t need the DoN. They offer a lot of SuperTurbo SnG, the most profitable (to FTP).

Bye!!

I guess SCDosset is right (9 seater standard table) but I think they are losing a profit opportunity as a lot of people play these kind of tournaments.
Cake poker, if I'm not wrong, has standard 9 player cashgame table but offer 10 players Dons.

Don't personally think 'Not enough users are asking for that kind of SnG' is the right reason because I cannot believe that a lot of users are asking for matrix tournament (for example).

Cashout tournaments, never heard of them, but played in FT alot. Is it new stuff or what. I would really like to try them, coz i usually suck on playing long tournaments.

I think SCDossett has it right. It's probably a table/software thing, and as they have tricks (called promotions on FT) to keep everyone happy as well as the huge amount of game types on offer, they don't need them.
Just my thoughts.
...I suck at DoNs anyway... Confused

I agree. Ftp has a lot of different tournaments but i think double or nothing is missing. Personally i enjoy DoN

I think if they introduced it rather than the super turbo ones, it would have been much more popular but I think that the super turbo heads up is like the DoN sitngos... anyway the super turbos are IMO a lucky type of games and the DoN sitngos are games that skills can bring on the profit you're aiming...

I've wondered that myself.. one thing that comes to mind is that the motto of FTP is more like "play fast, play aggressive, make some fast rake for the house" (that's why the RushPoker and SuperTurbo-300 chips SnGos) than play long lasting Double-ups. On the other hand, FTP has got many things that attract players

Full tilt are an innovative site, they brought us Matrix, Rush etc. They're not sheep and never will be.

There was a thread started by a Full Tilt Rep on another forum asking for comments/question about the software, when asked about DoNs the guy said, in a round about way, that FT didn't consider DoNs to be in the spirit of poker.

I tend to agree, they used to be a very easy way to build a roll, extremely boring to play though. I enjoy poker a lot more now that I don't play them.
