How would you like the tournament structure for WSOP Main event?

Hey guys!
Just a quick question for you all. If you're in the main event i would like to know how you would like the tournament structure.
At the moment the tournament structure is pretty pathetic. There should be no more than 200 people playing in this main event.
Consider the game you played in. Most consist of about 33 - 36 people. By the time you reach the final table, which is only taking about an hour, the blinds are very high and it becomes an "all in festival" (LOL).
The blinds on the main event are 10 mins, the same as the qualifier. By the time all players reach the final few tables the blinds will be so high that it will become rediculous and will take all the skill out of the game.
I write to you concerning this as i would like to play a competitive game and not some donk fest... yes i too will become a donk in these pitiful situations lol.
I think we should have some suggestions thrown out there as to tournament structure. We can all petition in an email and request the BRM mods or PArty themselves to allow 15 or 20 min blinds. This tournament is important and should not be a speed game. 10 min blinds encourage people to play like a LAP.
Anyway i just want to see what everyone thinks. I love Party poker and it is the only site i deposit on. The staff and moderators are great and i'm sure we can come to some agreement with them.

I agree 100% with the blinds thing. 10 minute blinds can be okay, but the sum that the blinds increase at Party is huge, they don't go like from 60/120 to 80/160 but at party they wud go from 60/120 to 120/240. Or am i hugely wrong? Anyways, it was a good game today, and it wud be cool if one of us(todays qualifiers) wud get the main event package.

You are absolutely right, the blinds seem to almost double every ten minutes and this can be no fun, within 30 mins the blinds are 100/200, within 1 hour the blinds are about 400/800 lol.
The reason i say 15/20 min blinds is that i know Party will not change there blind structure as it is the same for all tournys i think. So increasing the raising time would be the only alternative i think. I hope others agree with me and we can change something before the main event

I TOTALLY agree! I'm all for 20 min blinds and increasing the "skill" level as opposed to the agression (in this case DONK) factor. Agression is for the final table with huge stacks and huge blinds...
I don't know if it's possible, but I'm also for a "deep" stack tourney. Like 5.000 or 6.000 chips. It will last longer and I want to really "enjoy" this tourney. We only get one chance...
It would also be closer to the WSOP structure, which is, I believe, 10.000 starting chips and 1 hour blinds. I'm not sure.
Anyway, great suggestion, and I hope we can make it happen.

I agree!!I made it in the game june 6th and these will porb be the best odds I ever get in my life at making the WSOP I would love it to be a slow blind structure with just what you said 15-20 min blinds and for sure 5000 chips and this will be a great game..1 to remember oh yeah see at the final table

Ok great, we will see how many people reply to this thread and hopefully maybe one of the mods could also make a suggestion. I will email Party soon and see what they think Deepstack would be fantastic too

we are talking about 1 tourney. you wont really increase the skill level by increasing the blindlevels. variance is just so high, that there wont win the best anyways.

Hello everybody! Yes it would be super nice to have a deep structure! It's better for the interests of the tournament and more than winer will usually represent a better level. See you soon for new posts lol!
I agree with you. Need to increase stack and to have blinds at least 15 minutes ( best 20 ). If purpose is to award best players, you have to give them time to play. Raise, push or fold mode isuistable for a lucky one, not for the best one.
